Black hood. To me, although the strips look good, look a bit too GM for a Dodge.

From a owner with a flat black hood, I think I’d trade it for stripes. I’ve seen a T/A with flat hood and roof and it looked pretty damn good, I thought about having my roof and maybe trunk lid too wrapped in satin black, maybe the mirrors too??

I am not sure if a black hood looks good on a charger.....

But it does need something....

I would stripe it, gives it a viper feel.

I have a Stripe across the rear deck lid of my Scat which wraps around to the quarter panels and looks great. It's a pain in the ass to wax around it. I have to tape the stripe off to avoid the wax which looks like hell smeared on the flat black stripe. For my HC RE Charger I'm going with the solid Go Mango. Don't understand paying for the paint on the car and then paying a second time to get the flat black hood/roof at an extra cost. To each his own. Will pay extra for the Warp Speed wheels - have seen them up close and in person at the dealer and they looked great. I do agree that they look too "busy" in photos but not the case in person for me.

I’d go with the black hood if talking long term ownership. The stripes tend to be a PIA years down the road.

I like the stripes on the charger but for the challenger pre 2019 hellcats (no dual snorkel hood) looked better with stripes than the new hood does with the dual snorkles. The new hood on the 2019 and up challengers looks weird with stripes IMO and on those cars the black hood would be nicer. Side note 2k for a satin black hood is nuts when you can have it wrapped for 400ish on your own. I had the hood wrapped on my charger and a month passed by and I took it off as I preferred a solid color.

Ended up doing both in the span of a month.
Started with stripes, but the job wasn’t the best, so decided to go black hood. Personally I think the hood gives it a more aggressive look. All that orange needs some black to break it up. Good luck with your decision!

Did you order the oem carbon stripes from dodge? That pattern can't be replicated from these other vinyl companies last time I checked, could be different now.
