I only prefer the old to new, its not a deal breaker and your car is def sick enough to pull off the redeye hood, I just never thought it looked like it belonged on the NB cars but yours being all tricked out sorta makes sense. Surprised you didn't go carbon or something.

I think they weigh more than a factory hood as well. I can always wrap the scoops if I need a little more detail.
The raisin bran "two scoops" hood has always been a Mopar thing.

Meh I disagree with him. I don't like decals on cars that are so clean, maybe if it was a daily and covered in dust you could maybe pull something like that off, but you keep your paint and shine pristine so don't intrude on the shine with goofy decals. Plus maintaining around them and keeping them perfect is a pain in the ass. I had carbon stripes, it was a chore.

I was more leaning toward the performance (weight reduction) of the carbon vs steel, and the fact that your car has little carbon accents inside it'd tie it together, but you're right its basically a prettier black hood and it wouldn't really match the car. Carbon hood almost always looks better with a matching roof panel and at that point it'd be too much.

Are you going to swap in a 2019+ intake system to take advantage of the new hood?

I have a LMI with the JLT air box.
I will get it to seat nicely against the hood.

And.... time for an off topic question after seeing that picture. How do you like that rain sock on your intake? Do you run it all the time and when it gets wet does it do a good job keeping the water out of the filter? I ask as I have the JLT on my car too and am getting tired of taking on and off the splash shield for the hood when rain is the forecast. Been watching intake air temps and it makes a difference thus why I just don't leave it on. I've seen some people say the sock really hurts airflow too but I know your car is pushing way more power than my car so if it works for you, I'd have to assume it will work for me.

I run it so I don't need to use that stupid clear vent shield that is always spotted and dirty.
The water is basicallyrepelled by the sock and I have never gotten the filter wet yet. I have run the car with and without the sock. It does not hurt performance in my opinion.

No, two scoops has not always been a Mopar thing.

An Air Grabber is a Mopar thing.

A hood that features a scoop blowing cold air across the supercharger, and twin hood vents reducing underhood pressure and lowering front downforce, while improving cooling, THAT is an EXCLUSIVELY Mopar thing.
