Thanks, I have finallized on what I will be ordering for my car, 1 8in Sundown Subwoofer, Alpine Amp, Ported box, JL Audio Line converter and Rockford Fostgates install kit
ok so Im confused, do I just tap into my rear speaker's wires for the line converter or run it from the back of the Uconnect radio? Im thinking of doing this myself and possibly adding some sort of sound detonating material to lessen the truck rattles. I have the Alpine system.
so we installed the amp and sub today and there was no need for a line converter as the Alpine amp had this built into the amp. Also we tapped into the front driver side speaker and works just fine. The tiny 8in Sundown audio sub, is more than enough for bass, its so awesome now!
yeah it drills into the bottom cover (trunk liner) I used some small L brackets from hardware store that come with small screws. I was facing the same thing, the box would move all over the place. Finally now its sits put.
