Did your car go to the Upfitter?

You gotta think they know this, just wondering if it's really a problem.

If the tires are unidirectional they should be mounted in the right direction. Their performance will be compromised otherwise.

If unidirectional there should be an arrow molded in the sidewall to show which direction the tire should rotate when the vehicle is moving forward. Or the there might be "THIS SIDE OUT" molded in the sidewall.

It went to upfitter. They are correct on the rims just bolted to the wrong side of car. I have seen two recent SS this way. Per Nittos site it only impacts water channeling and the tire is not compromised.

bottom line.... PEOPLE are probably just stupid installing them. (?)
wouldn't you be proud to work on these type of cars at the upfitter, and take pride in your work?
You'd think, but apparently not. Mine clearly sat out a long time. I had to do some paint correction where bird crap had damaged it. Can't imagine how it would have looked if I'd ordered the satin black hood/roof

My SS was delivered with right side tires on drivers side. I believe this is wrong. Just saw a video of another new SS that was done the same way.

Am I missing something here?

Robert
I am not 100% following you here. So, you have Right side tires on the Drivers side. I get that. But are they rolling the correct direction? Arrows pointing the correct direction dispite being on the drivers side? If that is true, then maybe they were out of left side tires. Maybe it would be 6 more weeks before you got your car, or more. If this is the case then you will have the not as nice sidewall exposed, but should not affect anything.

Aren't they all the same tire with Right stamped on one side and Left on the other? I haven't had mine off to look at the back side

Yep, same with my SS.

I noticed it almost immediately while in the process of swapping out the brake pads with Z23's.

Thought I was seeing things !

Apparently I'm not alone.

IMO just an honest mistake, otherwise the car is incredible !!
