I appreciate the information Cole. I spoke with Jon and he went through the process he is undertaking to ensure a successful rebuild of the Hellcat Supercharger. More answers will be coming in the next month or so.

I am interested in hearing more details of what's involved in a successful rebuilt of the SC from Jon. Any updates yet alinjack?

I spoke with Jon and I think it is important to get 'both sides' of the story before making a judgement. I believe one of the people who complained about Jon's work had never actually sent his supercharger to him for work to be completed. In speaking with Jon all I can say is this does not represent his quality of work and commitment to customers that I believe his reputation is based upon.

Speak to Jon and get his side of the story. If you are old enough to own a Hellcat you have had enough life experiences to know that judging a situation by only hearing one side of the story is going to give you the wrong information and opinion. Jon is working hard to replace any parts in the supercharger of the Hellcat he can make stronger and more reliable. This process of rebuilding them will begin in May and he has several customers with their superchargers there. Let's hear from someone at our site that has dealt with Jon and does not have an axe to grind with him...

Since, Im in the business , my life experience says this guy sent a much better blower than he received back. End of story. Jon owes this guy something to make it right. One side of the story may be true, but its hard to discredit pictures of before and after. This guy plain and simple didnt take the care of someone elses parts, and because he didnt get a sale of work to be performed, treated his items like shit. As someone who makes sure each and every one of his cars are built how it was contracted, I myself think Jon needs to stand up and own up to it. Make it right, and move on. I have made things right SEVERAL times with things that were my fault, and some were not. At end of day , my reputation overseas was far more important than a few bucks or even a few hundred. I deal almost exclusively sight unseen and overseas builds. This stuff cant happen or I have no business. I hate when car dudes treat people like this.

Whatever way this goes. Social media/forums are king now when it comes to someone doing a good or bad job. You will hear about it. I hope this guy is doing good work, he would have a sizable customer base with the modded/no-warranty group. It might not be a bad idea for him to chime in personally if he wants the business. Most people in this situation will have a sitting/non-operable car, so they want their product in the right hands.

Are you sure this guy actually is a customer of Jon's..... Have you talked to Jon?

Man dude, you really are trying to sell this guy and defend him. I think there is no question just looking at his evidence on a few sites that he was dealing with him, and he seemed to anger quite a few people over it. I dont care if its over mustang parts, camaro parts or hellcats, a vendor who treats peoples parts like this without owning up to it, would never have my support. Read through quite a bit of it, and he certainly didnt deny it. He ends up having KB fix the blower that he didnt want to fix. This guy Jon tried to upsell him on services after the fact. Bottom line is they treated him like shit when he wasnt going to be a customer. Says VOLUMES to me about this guy when shit goes wrong. Sure he may fix 100 hellcat superchargers and 4 may have issues.....but heres the point. Its what he does for those 4 guys who have issues with his rebuild. When you read about how a guy treats someone when there is an issue , it makes me stay way away . Life is to short to pinch money for a big headache and MF'ing a guy over the phone. Defend him all you want. I realize that post was 2014 but where did he ever stand up and say, you know what , Im sorry and let me take care of some of the costs since we damaged your case. BTW his polished blower looked great after KB did him right. All you members can do as you please, but I dont deal with fellow car people who screw other car people. I've dealt with 100s of customers over the years who continue to come back or have a friend sent my way because right or wrong, I do what I say. If something happens, we take care of it, and they never have to worry about any misdealings. PERIOD. When you deal in distance, your reputation will make or break you. So far as Im concerned Jon can kick rocks. Id pay double for him not to touch it. Or he is welcome to come in here himself and plead his case or be stand up about it. He doesnt need Allan Jack representing him

The way this whole thread is started makes it sound like this guy Jon is the only guy on the face of the planet that can rebuild blowers...

I doubt that.

I have rebuilt many myself. I'm sure there are plenty of vendors that can do the overhaul on a HC blower.

If this said customer, was never a customer of Jon's, and claimed this happened, then they would sue and state that due to slander. If Jon does this, and claims customer is lying, the opposite can happen. Did Jon publicly state this? On his facebook web site for business he already calls out bad blowers and names, and says it is because people try to sell bad blowers.

You would think IHI would be able to fix their blowers with any improvements Jon is doing, or has done so. I wonder.

I think his advantage, besides know how, is that he has figured out the replacement parts required - it's somewhat of a choir to cross reference the right parts.

But, I agree with you, you got to think that there should be more folks out there that are able to perform this task. And maybe we'll be seeing a DIY kit in the future - for those that are more adventurous.

I just feel if a guy is getting slammed it is worth hearing his side of the story...Any time I make a decision on my cars I do the research. I am not defending Jon...just the principle of basing a decision on all the facts. I would use Jon but that is my personal choice. If you are more comfortable with a different vendor ...go for it.

Sure it does. It makes perfect sense. A guy name Jon is rebuilding blowers now, and someone has had a bad dealing with Jon. He posted all over the net for everyone to read. Jon decided to not make right with said guy, and it makes this whole rebuilding hellcat superchargers a bit murky. Considering, I for one, will not deal with people who dont take care of their customers when a problem arises. You should be concerned too. Maybe Jon is all good now and learned his lesson. I wont take that risk, or support anyone who acts this way. So its not really a twilight zone as so much as reading what the scoop is. A quick google search on a new vendor can take a left turn real quick.
