I had some m8 x 1.25 x 205mm flange bolts made for mounting the supercharger with spacers. These are the correct length to keep the same thread engagement as the stock ones. These are grade 8.8 and zinc plated. As most know, the Allen bolts supplied with the spacers are 5mm too short. I have a limited supply. $75 a set of 10 shipped lower 48. I accept PayPal, add 3% for fees.

I had the spacers with the supplied bolts on my car for over a year now; what’s the benefit of these over the ones from the kit?

More of a personal preference I suppose. The ones that come with the spacers are allen head, smaller clamping surface, and are only 5mm longer than the stock ones for a 10mm increase in height. That means you have 5mm less thread engagement than stock had.

I do not think with the torque spec of 22ft lbs it is worth worrying about that difference.

I have seen zero failures.

If these were allen heads I would consider a set, but I think it makes the sc look like you ran to the hardware store with mix matched hex heads in.

I see your point. I like the look of the flange bolt better. Plus, that’s what Dodge installed originally.

Mine are all rusted to hell, corroded, and look like garbage (the black ones). And you wouldn’t believe how easy it is to pull the threads on the heads.
Look at the thread contact on the black bolt, not stripping that out with 22 ft lbs.

IMO these would only be benificial for the dress up factor or if you have rusted heads. (If you didn't wipe the oil off and flat black the heads before install)
Hey, I am considering them just to get rid of the allen and torx all to begin with.

I am still considering them, not a bad price at all, FYI I am not bashing these, just stating that the thread engagement is not affected by 22ft lbs.

I think I may take a set, not sure if my NX nitrous billet sc lid is thicker or not. If it is, this could be a potential issue.

Wow! I don't know OP but here's a guy who made an intelligent post and went out of his way to have some custom parts made that would make him feel better about his blower spacer plate install and was nice enough to offer them to forum memebers and then gets feed back on why "not" to use them. If you don't like them asthetically fine don't buy them but you can not deny the impoved security function of better thread depth engagement. Everyone knows we could all use a few extra millimeters. Let's try not to be haters and thank you for offering these OP. Peace.

Agreed.

I'm not sure if this "phenomenon" has a name but it seems especially prevalent on automotive forums. I've been on a Ford forum, and Volkswagen forum for years, and recently this Hellcat forum, they're all the same in this respect.

100% agree with you and that's why I purchased a set. A big Thank You to gteatr6 for offering the longer Supercharger flange bolts for when using spacers.
I'm sure others will agree as well. Good looking out brother and Happy Hemi New Year to All.

Guys,

There is always going to be positive and negative on a product offered.

It is not personal. Feedback is knowledge.

Positives and Negatives;
+ The bolts are longer and have more thread that engages.
-Nobody has ever had the supplied bolts break or strip out. 22ft lbs only.
-$75 is costly to replace something that works fine.
+ Aftermarket NX billet SC lid may be thicker and need the additional length.... ?
- or it could be thinner and these bottom out and the supplied ones remain and you wasted $75
+ Replace rusted bolts
- If you painted the bolt heads before install they are not rusty and these are not needed.

I searched google for longer bolts in the past and could not find them in stainless, not even in zinc. Likely could order them in bulk, but not just 10 of them. So, I gave up on it.

Keep in mind, x1 bolt thickness going into steel and x2 bolt thickness going into aluminum is adequate for thread engagement.

I bought a set just in case the NX billet lid is a little taller, that is my reason. Worth it to me so I don't get stuck looking for something when I need it.

Now everything can go back to normal.

Please!!!!, everyone stop being so sensitive and having hurt feelings all the time. 👍🏻👍👍🏽👍🏿

I agree. All valid points. I’ve used the bolts that come with the spacers with no issues. I just wanted a flange bolt in the correct size.
I searched forever, but nobody stocks a 205mm, let alone a 200mm flange bolt. The only bolts readily available that I’ve found are all 200mm regular bolts or the allen style.
I decided to have some made. It’s not cheap and there is a minimum you need to order. That’s why I have a limited supply for sale. I also feel Dodge used flange bolts for a reason.
Anyway, discussions like this are healthy in my opinion. It helps people see the pros and cons of a product and they can hopefully make an informed decision.

Ah hell. PM sent as I think I'm going to grab one of those spacer kits. I keep going back and forth on if they are worth it or not but leaning towards getting some to try out.
