So I"m leaving the gym this morning.... HellcatdotClub and Tammie sadly I have no Subway close by and no pictures of my feet at the gym... I'm walking out with a women that I see there every day. We heading to our cars and she says "Is that your green hornet"? I said, "excuse me". She goes "Green hornet (points to my car and says again), Is that your green hornet". I said "oh yes it is". She goes "wow.... Did you restore it?". I said, "no it's a brand new car". She said "it's beautiful, will you take me for a ride in it some day". I said "sure anytime".

Just cracked me up. I guess to some people this thing looks like a green AMC Hornet LOL.

Three people yesterday and one today asked me if this was an old car I restored. Obviously, not car people but interesting how even non-car people take notice of the car and comment on it.

Maybe I'll have to start calling my car the "Green Hornet". After all it does sting like a bee.

Getting close to 700 miles now and each day this car feels stronger. It's just amazing how much power these bad boys (and girls) are putting to the ground.

Actually, ordered with the 301 V8 these little buggers were wicked fast & a blast to drive. Had a friend who's father was an exec at AMC & he had one for a while.

Wasn't that a 304 V8? I had a 77 Jeep CJ-5 with a 304V8 3-speed. I miss that thing!!!!

Seems the only way that's going to happen is if I suffer a severe head injury & decide it's OK to give some dealer azzhole $20k for doing absolutely nothing. For now, I will have to savor the memory of fast cars I've driven in the past. Tho I may go to Palm Beach Monday to look @ a MB CLS63 AMG.
