For a mini SUV, which unfortunately is popular with the masses, it's got some Dodge (Charger) flair and styling. Hate it or love it, but it's different.

It's waaaay better looking and sounds more promising ("performance" wise) than the Journey was though!
They're trying to inject some performance into it to make it different/stand out from a crowded segment.

Shame, RIP dodge performance
Lol this clearly isnt Dodge‘s claim to performance. For segment it’s in I think the performance will impress.

Personally it’s not that bad.
I am sure it will be a good seller and get some really good reviews

I read articles today about it the top model should have a 0-60 in the 6 second range. Impress my ass!
This is really a disappointment to me. They took an alpha Romeo and threw on a new hood and bumper. Wow…….
If they really made the kooks stand out and not be a general little suv like everyone has and made some REAL performance say low 5 seconds that would be a hornet to me……

Still. That segment is so packed with vehicles Toyota will beat them all. For that price point, and the vanilla buyers in that segment, they all want a Honda or Toyota based on perceived reliability. Dodge can't win there..............

Dodge isn't known as a "quality" and "reliable" brand to the masses. People that want these cars want something cheap, reliable, and very low maintenance costs. It's an appliance to them, not like a hellcat to us.

While I sort of agree that it could have probably been better, to stand out even more, but for the money....what more can you expect?

Because most in the segment have (slower) 7 or 8 second 0-60 times, for comparison.

What is the performance CUV right now?

Found this nugget

I think Dodge did right with this. Yes, it sucks for the muscle car guys but if Dodge is a performance brand, this fits.
Talk about low hanging fruit.

Eh, a performance small SUV is like saying a shopping cart with drag radials to me.
