Has anyone taken advantage of the Redford racing school offered to you with your hellcat purchase? I just got the email after recently purchasing my hellcat and I'm seriously debating on taking advantage of the experience where I can hopefully get more comfortable with the potential of my vehicle on a closed course with professionals. I live on the east coast and it's in Arizona so it would be a big trip for me to get out to Arizona for this but I'm thinking about doing it. Has anyone else gone? Is it worth the travel? Would you recommend the experience?

I had thought about it, but honestly just can't justify the expense for one day of seat time. Airfare from the east coast, hotel and rental car, I'd be looking at close to a grand if not more. If airfare or hotel was included, or I lived on the west coast I'd consider it, but it's just too damn far.

Ohhhhh.......I have........ Do it. It's a great day and addictive. I just also did the Demon Drag Day and the 2 day High Performance Driving class.
I flew in from Dallas, rented a car and got the hotel.....made a weekend out of it. When I'm 108 and on my deathbed, I won't be thinking....I wish I saved that money back in 2021 and didn't do a racing a class....)))))

I did it with my 18 HC when it was Bondurant. It was awesome. It was a great way to learn more about the limits of our cars and see what they can really do. However....I do believe they took some horsepower out of them with a tune.

I fortunately have a good friend who lives in Fountain Hills with a spare car for when I go there. He and his wife put me up for a couple days and we have a great time. I used to do that for Barrett Jackson auction too but unfortunately my buddy is having walking issues now so I don't want to go to Barrett Jackson auction and leave him home.

Just got our Redeye last week. My wife and I would like to try the 1 day class that Radford offers. Do we use there cars or do we take our car down there? Both of us would like to be involved. Do they charge extra if both spouses want to participate?

You use the school cars.

I don't know if they changed the rules on a spouse discount, believe they would be charged full price which I think was $1,000 but check to be sure.

I have done both the Bondurant (previous) SRT Experience and subsequently, a two day course. You use their cars. The SRT Experience is more like a zip-lining experience...lots of waiting and some seat time, with a lead-follow at the end in a HC, Challenger or Charger, your choice. I recommend that if you have no track experience.
If you have track experience (or want more actual training/seat time to get to know your car vs waiting), I recommend the two-day HP course which they should give you some credit for your SRT Experience. I think my two-day cost me $1600. Keep in mind, their car/fuel/brakes/tires and prep. You just show up and drive. You will learn way more with this than the SRT Exp. FWIW.

I went to Radford in December. It's not a one day course. It's about 1/2 a day. You do some slaloms, a braking/avoidance exercise, another timed slalom course and then you drive two up around the track following an instructor in a Challenger Hellcat. You drive their vehicles and for half of the class, you drive 392 SUVs, not Hellcats. A lunch is served and you're finished at approximately 2pm. The final phase of the class is two laps around the track in a Hellcat with an Instructor at the wheel. That was exciting, but you won't be driving at speed when you're behind the wheel on the track. Honestly, It was more of a defensive driving course as opposed to anything approaching track/racing training, but enjoyable nonetheless. Was it worth the travel and hotel expense?.....Yes I think so, but several of the members of my group were a tad disappointed, just sayin.

Thanks for "keeping it on the hundred".

Another option if you want to drive your car and learn is an HPDE event at a track. I recommend nasa, as their rules keep everyone safe with less chance of damaging your car and you will start with an instructor in your car in Group 1. That instructor will teach you how to drive the car better, safer, and probably faster if you choose. As for cost, it will be in the $500 range for a weekend entry, which will be 8 or so 20-30 min sessions on track. So by the time you add fuel, tire and brake pad wear is similar to what you will pay for the (included in the purchase price, or "free") SRT Experience. You paid for it, might as well use it, but there is no training to speak of in that course. You will teach yourself. In the past they comp'd about $500 toward a more indepth event like a two day HP drivers course. Not sure if they still do. Schedule a weekend at Sebring and I'll teach you all I can in a weekend if I can be there. These cars are a blast on track! I don't get paid to instruct but I am an instructor with nasa. I have driven and instructed with a few different organizations and nasa is the best I've seen. #DRIVENASA - National Auto Sport Association

Believe Bondurant used to give you a $1000 credit towards a multi-day course, don't know if that's still the case.
