I just dropped my car at the Dealer to have my new-car-observations addressed after 3700 miles:

- Hood: low in center front, high on front corners
- Rear passenger window: the weather stripping was gouged before I even signed for it
- Spoiler: decal stripe was improperly adhered, now peeling
- Radio: failed to respond to buttons; multiple sequential restarts required to reset it (x1)
-- outside temp indicated 43*F when actual temp was 73*F (this self-corrected after approx. 20mins) (x2)
- Front UCA's rusted (service rep says 'that just happens...won't hurt anything)
- Rhythmic clacking/ticking (tick-tick-tick) from firewall (engine?) at idle (service rep explained VVT and/or injectors)
- All the speakers have static/crackle; primarily rear passenger
- There is a sound of something fluttering against skin of the car at highway speed (70-85mph) on driver side and behind driver
- Rippled glass in the windshield (has anyone else noticed this?)

I miss my car...

Hope you get all your new car issues sorted out.... Any suspension part that is cast iron/steel will rust over time. The coating (some cars don't even start with a coating) will wear off and they will rust. If it bugs you you can always hit them with some satin black rustoleum or whatever color floats your boat.

I haven't noticed any rippling in my windshield. I did experience that years ago with a car. It was a bad piece of glass that was replaced with a new one.

Good luck, hope they get you back on the road quickly.

I've had many of the same things: (currently 5100 miles)
Hood: Mine was high on the passenger side front corner (since swapped out with Hellcat hood)
Outside temp: on maybe 3 or 4 different occasions, it will report significantly lower than actual outside temp - as you said, corrects after a while
Speakers: passenger side rear (C pillar area) - I get a buzzing from certain mid-frequencies, trying to find a good song to replicate to dealer
Fluttering: does sound like from under drivers door or slightly rearward at highway speeds. I thought it was a tag or something fluttering.

ticking/flutter----my 2011 392 had this...it was the exhaust expanding/contracting...i used to think it was the front mud flap coming loose.....nope...exhaust...i think its going to be a normal thing

glad 6.2sc doesnt have this annoying sound

I've seen the wavy windshield on cheap Chinese replacement windows, had to replace one on my work truck. No excuse from a qc prospective.

The hood not sitting flush is also fairly common. I passed up a silver HC in favor of pitch black because it was less noticeable. Again, inexcusable.

Hope everything gets sorted quickly.

The dealer body shop did their best to realign the front assembly (hood, facia)...though, the Rep tried to imply that I messed with the hood as the mounting bolts had the paint chipped from them. I assumed the hood had been removed to apply the vinyl decals, but what do I know...

The fluttering sound was attributed to the seatbelt knocking against a pair of sunglasses in the back seat...I chuckled at the Rep and told him the car will likely come back this, again.

The stereo was written off as nothing found...will return once I collect a database of songs that cause the issue.

The Rep took photos of the windshield in an effort to capture the rippling in a picture that he stated the manufacturer requires to adjudicate the issue. Chinese glass, huh?

According to the Rep: rust happens. Bad answer, but I can only hope Dodge was intending for a life-preserving patina.

If the rep gives you any more crap about the hood in the future, Google a couple of owners pics or take him out front and show him the other Challengers. I'm pretty tired of having Chrysler tell me "No fault found" or try to blame me for their shoddy workmanship and qc.
