Real simple solution to the fuel problem. You have to buy whatever brand of E85/E100 Dodge recommends and use it with the 2nd PCM. Available exclusively through Direct Connection of course.
That sure does sound simple. Even if it doesn't meet emissions, or the fuel is illegal like E100? Awesome!

Oh, and E100 isn't technically illegal in the USA:

That article was written last year, so it isn't an archaic piece. The main reason why E100 isn't used here has to do with the fact that we're talking about Everclear out of a gas pump. E100 is not "pure" ethanol. The blends for sale at race gas shops here are technically E98. Without boring you on the scientific details, it's blended with enough gasoline to get it to start in colder weather... but it's not enough to be toxic for human consumption. Therefore, numbskulls could drink it out of the gas pump and not die... so people will generally do it. Hence why the EPA is against its sale. However, E100 can be had at specialty outlets, and it comes with a steep price, far in excess of what you'd pay at a liquor store for pure grain alcohol. Therefore, numbskulls won't buy a 54 gallon drum of E100 for $2,000 because they can get it for half that cost if they were to just buy a bunch of Everclear at the liquor store.

That being said, you could theoretically run your car on Everclear with just a splash of gas in the tank if your car was tuned for it.

I looked for about a half hour on whether or not it is illegal to drive on the road with an E100 powered car, and I didn't find anything that says anything definitive either way. Like with 50/50 Nitro, it's illegal to use on the road because it's highly explosive and poisonous in the event of a major spill. It's illegal to use nitrous oxide on the street in many states as well because it's got added sulfur and in the event of fire, it makes the fire worse. NO2 would cause vehicles in some states to fail emissions laws.

This wouldn't be a problem with E100. It's almost food grade, so it's not toxic, it doesn't explode like nitro and it isn't toxic to the respiratory system. It wouldn't pass emissions in states with stringent emissions laws, but in places like Florida where I live that don't have emissions laws, I believe it would be legal to operate a vehicle on E100 on the street. Again, I say this because I haven't found anything in the laws about using it. There's laws against selling it at gas stations, but not against using it down here, not that I've seen yet.

In Florida, we do have a provision that sets the maximum tax on ethanol fuel producers... and they include an E100 provision, which means it is legal to produce E100 in this state since 2010.

The following is a repeal of a prior tax savings. But here, you can see where it calls out E10-E100 manufacturers. Thus, if they can be taxed legally, then they can produce the fuel legally. Whether it is or not, I don't know. There is however provisions in the tax code that allow the taxing of E100 manufacture.

Wow, sure sounds like a plausible path then for them to take. GREAT JOB!

Technically yes but its a promise, if i get married 3 years ago the promise doesnt diminish, we will see what kind or a guy he is. I will garantee he will lose clients
There aren't any clients to lose. Dodge is basically out of business after 23. Charger, Challenger, and 300 dead. All that remains is the Hornet (which is at the very bottom of the SUV EV pack - Koreans already are light years ahead) and some type of funny looking EV that's still on the drawing board. Ram and Jeep will remain but how many people will be converting from a passenger car to a Jeep? It's an elevator in free fall to the basement. Tim K will need a new gig to make it to retirement.

There are no fines for not meeting emissions. You just can't give the car a VIN.

There are fines for manufacturers not meeting CAFE.
Well, actually, the VW diesel cars did not meet emissions and they sold millions of them. That resulted in lawsuits and fines or court settlements. Point taken though - they have to meet emissions to get a VIN and run on the street.

You’re sure right on buh-bye dodge. But they sell enough jeeps to keep them going.

that was the first thing that came to mind. He must not own one so that’s why no one at dodge cares.
Eventually, most people will begin to understand that the government, big corporations, media, etc. lie to you every time it's beneficial to them without apology. May still take a while though.

Not interested in debating as most of the comments I read here sounds like children arguing lol, but I’ll share what I know…….
Back in November, an insider at Stellantis told me….. “They are having issues trying to get the car to meet emissions. They are very close but if they don’t get it sorted out, it won’t be street legal”
He won’t give me any updates now but it’s not clear if this will be street legal or a factory drag car with no vin. Take this info however you wish, it came from a 💯 legit source who is hands on in the project
I also know a couple of other small details on the car that I will not share. What I will say is I really want one and I want to trade my 22 Challenger Jailbreak for one

VW passed their emissions testing by using tuning that wouldn't be loaded in the cars they sold. They cheated, and so paid fines when it was discovered including having to fix the vehicles.

Jeep and RAM are separate divisions. They will not keep Dodge afloat as Stellantis has made it clear they aim to get all their brands in the positive earnings. Chrysler will likely be the first chopped, then Dodge if they don't turn things around after this year.
