That being said, I don't generally like the idea of banning people. There's been 3 or 4 people I've had some serious disagreements with here that have been banned. I think I've reported 2 of their posts. One was for trying to doxx me (2ndAmend) and the other decided to FB stalk me, lifted one of my photos from my profile and turned it into his avatar here. He changed his forum signature to one of the personal quotes I had on my FB profile. That was just childish and stupid (Turd McGavin).

Most folks I get into forum squabbles with are just healthy disagreements, and they're thankfully very rare. It's fine to disagree. I wouldn't classify the current issue with B5Blue6M as all that bad. While we clearly have a difference of opinion on matters, that's all it is. Some people get caught up with internet anonymity syndrome and, rather than constructively discuss things, decide to try and break the 4th wall in an attempt to do harm or personally belittle/shame someone... emotionally or otherwise. That's the mistake that Turd and 2ndAmend made. I'm not the only person they pulled that crap on either.

But for 99.9% of forum posts, a healthy discussion, even a sometimes vitriolic discussion is fine... so long as it stays within the boundaries of car stuff. I tend to draw the line where after I turn the forum off, I don't expect to see negative YT comments, new 1-star Google reviews posted to the old shop that we shut down after Hurricane Michael 3+ years ago, and random incendiary comments posted to open posts on my FB account. That's what a couple of bad apples did here a while back. So long as folks aren't doing that kind of stuff, I've got no problem with anybody really.

Question @Xylander: Does E85 absorb water if stored in the same sealed can you bought it in from a race gas shop?

I had...umm...a buddy! Yeah, a buddy, who used it to get a car to pass emissions. My...umm...buddy! Yes, my buddy, figured out the mixture to make it burn cleaner without screwing up said car (that was NOT meant for E85). Worked like a charm, BTW.

Anyway, MY BUDDY still has four of the 5 gallons left, and he wonders if saving it for 6 months will still result in water contamination? If you have knowledge on this topic, much appreciated!

If it is a sealed container that is perfectly sealed, it should be fine. E85 is hydrophilic, meaning it will absorb water from the atmosphere. This is why you can sometimes get bad E85 from a small gas station that doesn't sell much. The venting those tanks do can pull in water, which sits on top. If the tank gets low or they don't purge the tank before a fill-up... you get water. I should say, you "can" get water. It all depends on what type of system the gas station uses. Some stations do on-site blending... and those are usually not a problem.

In your friend's case though, he should be fine so long as that drum doesn't expose the contents of the tank to the atmosphere. That being said, if your buddy's car wasn't modified to run E85, it will damage the injectors and other plastic parts and fittings in the fuel system as E85 dissolves such things over time.

Very helpful. Thanks! I'll make sure it's sealed tight!

Any water it absorbed will be nicely dissolved in a far, far, larger proportion of alcohol and not present any problems.

Came uncunted on me one day about some YouTuber claiming he was getting a JB fast tracked cause his dealer messed up his order on a regular Hellacat. Like I always say…. have to have thick skin, but yeah taking anything personal on here is way over the top. Going outside of this forum cause somebody said something that hurt your feelings is completely unacceptable. I think you called me entitled as well. That kinda hurt my feelings 😖
