Jim everything I've heard about Nitto's are you need to burn the snot out of them to hook up. My Goodyear drag radials are fine with a short burnout but they don't make our size. I'm gonna try Mickeys unless something comes along in the meantime. I need to know about your Strange driveshaft and what all was needed to make it work when you get your wheels.

I need front and rear matching tires, OCD in me. these are the only ones that can match. Driveshaft i'm sending them mine when the car shows up

I had them on my GNX but that car would not hook with a full slick. Maybe I will have to get off my OCD

Have you considered the Nitto 555R in 305 for the rears? That's what they ran on the 10.8 NHRA certified times.

Yes those are old school technology. been out a long time with no change in compounds.

I have had good luck with the Mickey ET Radial on my CTS-V. I will probably buy a rear set for the track, but I need some street tires in 305 that don't rub. Any good choices yet?

I'm still leaning toward nt05 than I can match the front. If I go mt I'm stuck with stock fronts

I just installed the 555Rs on the back on the stock rim. It fits without modifications and definitely hooks up better. It doesn't mean you can stomp on it when cold and not expect tire spin but it makes a world of difference over the stock tires.
