Hey everyone..
Ive been back and forth on the idea of selling my 2015 Challenger Hellcat. I love the car but I never drive it. I live in Michigan and my job requires me to be gone in the summer months. Which for me, means no time to drive the car. It has 7,000 miles on it and its completely stock. Its been sitting in my garage with a car cover on it for a few years. I only drive it to put new gas in it a couple times a year and change the oil. Its black, with black wheels and red interior with red seat belts. No dings or dents or scratches. Still like it was off the day I bought it. I can upload more photos or send them if you're interested. I was told its Hellcat #1525 here on the hellcat forum. Just wondering what I should ask for it? I don't want to trade it in for the fear of losing out quite a bit. Id rather see her go to a good home where someone will appreciate it. So... I guess make offers? haha

Trade it in. You’d be shocked what they’ll give you now. This isnt the normal used car market currently. I can tell you the whole first year thing means zero though. It wont get you any more than a newer one.

Put it on Craigslist for $60k and be patient the right buyer will come along. I sold my 2018 Widebody with 16k miles on it to an international buyer for $70k no haggle. Be patient and sell private party for maximum return. Why give Carvana or Carmax a cut? They weren't the ones taking care of the car for the last 6 years...

I got the highest price for our 2015 SRT 392 from CarMax. They are an option too if you have one in your area. You'll get a check the same day/evening too and can get an estimate right online in a couple of minutes and you don't have to buy anything from them.

Good Luck!

If you decide to post it private party. Make sure to word the add firmly by saying I know what I have here, a mint low mile hellcat which is as good as new with a desireable color combination inside and out. State that your price is FIRM. Also state that you are in no hurry to sell and do not bother replying to this add unless you have the capitol required for purchase of this vehicle as well as warning them that, if after all other requirements are met and an exhibition drive is in order, you will do the driving. That will usually weed out the non serious joy rider tire kickers. Also ask potential buyers if they've ever owned a high horsepower vehicle. It would be preferable to sell to someone who has previously owned a Hellcat or is a big Mopar or Musclecar person. Be patient the proper new owner will come along.

IMO those methods are huge turnoffs and as a buyer I'd move on to the next ad.
I get not wanting to deal with non legit yahoos but placing an ad and then making it clear you aren't really interested in selling it and coming across as prickly as can be?

Same. While I certainly wouldnt instantly expect a test drive and also detest tire kickers, the last guy I'm dealing with is the guy that lists rules of engagement and 'knows what he has' so that I can earn my way into giving him my money. Rather actually pay more to someone with a similar car than deal with that type of experience. Hard pass.

The buyer with the money and looking for this specific combo won't give a shit how the add is worded. You've proven my point here. If you were a potential buyer, you weeded yourself out because you are not serious enough about this particular car and are willing to move on. 😆 I guess my other point here is, Hellcats for sale are and always will be a special car to those in the know and do not need to be discounted, devalued or given away when presented as new or better than new depending on what value added accessories may have been added ex. Ceramic, Expel, Tint, etc.

Before ordering with Jake I looked at used for 3 months. Your philosophy would have this cash in hand buyer do a hard pass.
I don't know anyone who's ever been looking to deal with a jerk when buying something AND paying top dollar to do it.
Was probably lost in translation to your international buyer.

LOL! To anyone who's feathers I've ruffled, Just giving OP different points of view. It worked for me. Sold mine to the first looker WITH stipulations of engagement. These aren't Honda Civics. People who are worth selling to get it. ✌

THIS.
Skipping a rules enforced purchase has zero to do with seriousness whatsoever. That is a great way to justify the tactic I guess though. You've only weeded out and thinned the buyer herd down to a much smaller number and not just tire kickers. In fact it tells me the eventual buyer is desperate and/or lazy and therefore has to put up with that (which is great for a seller), unless it's the only car left on the planet. A serious buyer doesn't need to jump through hoops, they have the money and therefore the leverage in the end. I've never once put up with that tactic and was always a serious buyer. Ready to buy, not kick tires. But the guy that says "here are the rules" gets zero money from me. And people wonder why it takes so long to sell a vehicle sometimes lol. The only worse way is to post "I know what I have - make an offer, no lowballers" lol.
Maybe Hellcats are that much in demand though? My normal ideas may not apply lol. Hey whatever gets it sold at this point.

How long ago did you sell it? Curious when in the current climate you scored a sale like that. You did well!

The method of advertising I describe obviously doesn't apply if you have a roached out Hellcat. Only a non desperate owner of a pristein used car in todays market can get away with having set buyer standards. Which OP's car seems to qualifiy for. To each their own. Peace.
