What setup should I go with?

I am thinking about a tune from Tim. I know I can swap back to the stock PCM when I bring the car to the dealer. From the input I have received from most, the 6.2L is pretty bullet proof and a tune from Tim would net me about 700-720 rwhp with a LMI intake.

I was thinking about doing a 2.85" pulley at some point but with the clutched pulley in there would I be better off getting a lower overdrive crank pulley? Is the crank pulley on my 2016 now pinned? What is the safest and best way to go about it?

Thanks everyone!

If you are going to have him touch it, for the money (Under $6k I believe), have him go all out, he does a helluva job from everything I've read & seen.

never pin the crank..... if you have a problem and put it all back to stock and go to the dealer, first thing Chrysler asks to see is the crankshaft. warranty void..... on entire powertrain, not just the engine.
How do you put it all back to stock? OEM pulley seal has to be taken off before you remove it. However, I am not promoting "PIN the CRANK". All I'm saying that sometimes having a good relationship with dealer/service mgr goes long way

I just read on another thread your have over 900hp and you are saying you did not pin your crank? That seems counter to every advice I have been given if that is the case other than the warranty what is the reasoning. Not gonna start a warranty argument those go in circles. I have a local service manager that says he won't void a warranty for pulleys and tunes...but........who knows. I assume it's gone once I tune.

2.85 only needs pcm swap and tune ..... you really don't need to swap the pcm they can unlock it but beter off swapping it so if need be you can go back to dealer ... my dealer says I can mod mine as long as they install everything and I can not pin the crank ..... but not pinnig the crank may be a mistake cause if the belt slips which it will and gets back slap on it ... could fry other parts

I know at least 10 cars running on 2.85 without pinning and so far none of the car in my knowledge has reported any issue. Again, I don't promote pinning... I'm planning to go with 900 HP package with TIM by end of April

Warning, .02 ahead... (and apologies to those who lost their's)

Now that we've come along as far as we have, I'm convinced that the issues suffered were a manufacturing issue... Bad day for an assembler, bad torque wrench cal, bad something... I think the design is good when assembled correctly, correctly being the key word. Good parts, good assembler, good tq wrench...

Maybe consider getting a new bolt and re-torquing in this case, to ensure you've got a good installation....

So Bull and Sgoyal...you say no need to pin if install is quality? Or you are just saying it's worked before and the risk does not outweigh the risk of voiding your entire power train? I'm in the research phase of making my monster this spring/summer.

Opinions of lower vs upper since the factory upper is clutched? I was thinking lower to start....Tim has a lower only car with a 9second pass now...

swapped pcm won't fool the dealer...285 upper doesnt need the pin but the lower does for sure...it is recommended to pin it either way because your warranty is gone either way...unless your dealer is very cool about it...but dealers change when they have to pay the piper

If I was only gonna drag race I'd just go whole hog but I still want to road race the car at HPDEs and do speed events. I also don't want to blow the tires off at 100mph on the street. I'm thinking a 93 tune that is mild and a race gas tune that goes from mild to WILD! Doing a lot with a little...it's the Marine Corps way. :D

I've 2.85 HHP 93 and 109 Tune. I'm not pinned yet and aware of 9-10 more guys who got 2.85 and haven't pinned (so far none has reported any issue). However, Tim 90oHP package got lower pulley so it gets pinned.. .

My dealer knows that my car is tuned and he makes sure that Viper Tech guys don't flash it.

Sgoyal...did you put ID1000s or use stock injectors? Your current ET results are right on for what I'm thinking in terms of Drag Strip performance.
