Has anyone ordered a new Challenger or Charger Hellcat lately? Should I wait until next year like February?
I know everything is a mess right now with insane used car prices. Low new car inventory because of the chip shortage.
I just sold my ‘19 Scat Pack Charger for 5k profit.

I ordered my HC Challenger on 8-10, it’s built and should be at my dealer mid-september.

I ordered mine 04-30-21 and it arrived at the dealership on 07-06-21.... My only regret is that I didn't order a few days earlier on 04-26. No dealer markup and 100% satisfied. Nothing but fun and excitement since then!

I say wait. You 2021 will be a model year old - basically a leftover - by the time you get it. No real changes for 2022 so wait a month or two and order a ‘22 when ‘22 order banks open. You will prob have in Feb and will have a ‘22 for the whole ‘22 season. Plus it wont be a year old for another year.

Similar situation for me. decided to wait and order a 22. It makes sense for several reasons. I think the bubble popped or is popping. I think will be in a better situation to negotiate with the dealer in six months. Production should be better and less people looking for them is a good combo.

Greetings HP Addict19, I would order now if I was you. I have a friend who is a higher up in the automotive industry and according to him, the chip shortage is only going to get worse. All the automakers are scrambling for chips while the chip suppliers overseas might slow production or shut down if the delta variant gets worse, creating a bigger bottleneck than what it is now.

Triple Nickel is a nice color. But it just looks like silver.

I like F8 green and Black. I think Black looks awesome on muscle cars!

I had Octane Red on my SP Charger.

I currently have Garnett Red on my Camaro 2SS.

I'd reach out to #HellcatJesus and order as soon as possible. You'll get invoice pricing and his dealership has allocations, which reduce build time by weeks compared to other dealers.

Just a note about colors: If you are a young guy with lots of free time to wash your car every time it rains or you drive through a puddle, then get a cool color, like raisin, indigo, sinamon, octane, F8 or any other cool medium or dark colors. Nickel, smoke, white, maybe granite, will not show water spots and look good with MUCH less maintenance. I like cool colors as much as anyone, but I just don’t want to wash the car every other day.
