So the oil dipstick is something like I've never seen. It doesn't have a fill line or anything, just a little 3/4" knob thingymabob... Is the oil line suppose to be all the way to the top of that or just anywhere on it?

Help a newb out please lol

Thanks...I looked all through the owners manuals but couldn't find anything definitive. Figured folks here could shed light on it

As you can imagine, I walked through my car with a fine tooth comb with the tech and made sure I knew everything I should about my Hellbaby! When I pulled my dipstick at around 700 miles, it was barely reading oil on the stick and it was 1.5 quarts low. That gives you an idea, the xxx are about a quart or little over.

1 qt is 1.05 liters, so 5.9 X 1.05 is 6.2 litres

Per the owner's manual, oil anywhere in that range is at a safe level. However, once it's at the bottom of that safety range, it means you are 1 quart low.
