I have been wondering why the HC hasn't felt right lately the last 2000 miles since the dealer changed the oil. Some rough idle at times and sluggish. Something told me to check the air filter, it was practically being sucked into the intake. After changing it, it feels like it has double the HP and a very smooth idle. I hope not too much dirt got into the intake. For now on I do everything, oil changes etc. I think the air filter probably failed because it is not a oem and it is weak. Look at the pics!! I posted a month ago or so about rough idle and some longer starts, I guess this was it bc it feels so like double the power now

The filter got wet. That was the engine starving for air.

Definitely need to keep the garden hose or pressure washer out of the intake duct.
Any paper air filter will do that when saturated with water.
Ford transits had this issue when debut in 2015 because of the design of the air duct in the grille. At one point you likely smelled the water being boiled as it went through the sc into the head.
