If you clean Them they wont harm anything. That is what is going wrong with our Country today, Is that everybody goes with the crowd.( Politically correct) pier pressure, to the point they let the crowd dictate what they do. as many state over and over. The splitter is cheap. So when you decide to remove the yellow covers, (If) it is discolored replace it. Wow that was hard to decide.
