Why would you leave that on all the time? At least take them off when you wash the car. That's like leaving your underwear on when you're having sex.

Mine were in the trunk when the car appeared magically on the car fairy trailer; I didn't realize people would by them and tossed them in the trash. Next day I saw they'd go for $100 on line. DOH.
Air Deflector - Mopar (68258747AC) $78.80

Cheap enough to just replace the whole splitter when needed.

That is what is going wrong with our Country today, Is that everybody goes with the crowd.( Politically correct) pier pressure, to the point they let the crowd dictate what they do. People do what ever you want to.
So, the advice you're giving is "do what you want to..."

Don't ***** at others for doing what they want to.
"...unless it's giving other people advice."

My head hurts. <Grin>

What is crazy is the ZL1 protectors are more expensive than replacing the cheap splitter! I am guilty; I have suggested that solution and even spent the cash yesterday for the protectors. Oh well, I also paid over a hundred for a license plate holder to take on and off. That is it for my front.

Sometime this weekend that fugly protector is coming off, so I can update my Avatar with a better pix of my ride. Sorry toekneethetiger the Homeslice needed to go, it was halarious, but, I could not stomach a yellow piece of bread representing me.

The funny thing is the splitter costs about $135 new. Id rather risk it than drive around with that thing on.

They are for shipping only and the dealer is suppose to take them off. The purpose of them is not to protect the splitter for someone who is challenged when parking with a curb stop in front of the car.

Unless you paid for my car! I keep mine on because they offend some. This discussion is always laughable. I guess if I had a giant hellcat graghic from door to rear fender id be cool but little yellow guards are offensive. I am an offender.

One reason to leave them on is they act to let the leading spoiler lip ride up and onto something the spoiler might otherwise come into contact with.

While I try to stop just short to avoid running the spoiler over the in this case the sidewalk I'm not always successful. The car is so large/wide my usual technique of using the outside mirror housing and the sidewalk to know how far to pull the car in is not always available to me.

I wonder how much the satin black option hood cost on the Corolla that parked next to you...?
