I am looking for a more pronounced whine, and have heard the LMI & nearly about to pull the trigger. I’m stuck between the JLT & LMI. What do you guys think about the two intakes or any other intakes!

LOL. Why would you do that? You already have the best intake money can buy. None of the ones you posted will work as well and will be hot air intakes. Most of us 2015 hellcat owners are jealous of the newer cars because of this.

He wanted more whine not the best intake money can buy. LMI will be louder than what comes on the redeye. Will u get better performance ? Maybe not but u will get a louder whine.

Serious question: Isn't there a smart phone app that connects with bluetooth, and will synchronize actual engine rpm output to an audio file of a supercharger whine that will playback through the hellcat's speakers? That way you can just dial up or down the supercharger whine.

If not, I call DIBS!

LMI any day. I’ve ran both, temps are same or negligible. Whine on LMI is the greatest mod I’ve ever done. Second is the mid muffler delete for 1974 vibrant baffled mufflers. Perfect tone and whine combo.

Pettys Garage installed a whipple gen 5 on my car. The air box it came with is concave where the factory hood vent is flat. You end up with a little crack that lets it pull in heat from the engine. But, as a added bonus, any time you give it gas it sounds like the car is whistling, not whine, a whistle. lol. So, I say this as a joke but, maybe have it so that when it draws in air it whistles over a edge on the air box? Kidding. Hot Rod life right?

I just installed my LMI. Holy S it’s loud! The thin carbon fiber seems to resonate and just sing! The factory lid stops the noise at the gov mandated limit. The thick OEM plastic seems to be designed to stop sound from getting to loud. Right away I notice how the sound just keeps getting louder and louderwith more throttle. OEM hits a noise level and stays put.

My LMI is definitely louder than my stock Redeye intake! Example, I put my Borla Atak cat back on before my LMI. OEM intake can still be heard, but is in the background compared to the Borla Atak. The LMI over powers the Borla unless at 100% throttle. It’s crazy how loud the Legmaker is! I love it!!!

Today sitting at 120. Within a couple of the stock box. But it was in the 50’s today. My OEM never went over 150ish. We will see what this does. I will be putting the OEM on for any actual racing. Super easy to swap.

How are those IAT temps though at idle and traffic? @RB185AFM
It’s definitely hotter! Hit 159 degrees sitting in a drive-through at In and Out. I was sitting for 20 min under an overhang in 80 degree weather. I can imagine its going to be really hot in the summer. Stock box never went over 150 degree. Also, the heat takes a while to move out. Took me 3 miles on the freeway before I dropped back under 150 degrees. The OEM box is 10 degrees cooler on average, so far, and sheds heat way faster. I think the carbon fiber allows all the sound waves out, but it also sinks heat. The carbon was still crazy hot to the touch after siting for a hour, though it was in my garage, so heat just hung out.

Definitely pulling this intake out for any serious runs out in Sunny hot CA. But for heading to the gym or work, it’s awesome scaring everyone a 1/4 mile away 🤣.

The LMI did get its first test. I ran a 700 WHP Mustang and we were dead even from a 80 roll. It was like we were glued together. Two runs exactly the same.

I would love to here a LMI in a Redeye.
I don't think there would be much difference but there sure was a lot of difference on the trackhawk.
