Had some semi clean back country roads to work on some 1/4 mile pulls with the HC. Here was the best I pulled off. Tire pressure was 34lb, running a 93 tune and 555r’s on the back. Traction Control off, street suspension. I’m sure if I dropped the pressure on the tires to 24 I could have reduced the spinning on launch and the 1-2 shift spin. Is this pretty common for street? Overall thoughts? Also how accurate is the timer on the car?

I run the 555R2’s at 28 psi all the time on the street, lower they want to hop if they break loose higher they’ll spin instead which is more controllable and easier on the drivetrain but I’m 950 wheel M6 so spinning is in the equation always, one needs good throttle control, there’s no just mashing it for me at least. I keep traction control fully engaged all the time on the street, even at the track except for burnout time. My best street 1/4 so far, no burnout just normal launch like from a red light has been an 11.2 at around 139, with a 1.9 60 ft and 3.4 0-60, that was on 315/35-20 555R2’s. The 555R2’s I’ve have had stick decent down into the 40’s but warmer the better no doubt.

So I was feathering the throttle to about 45, then went to the floor once it hooked. I launched at 2600 which was a hair high for the surface conditions and high tire pressure. I will drop the pressure to 28 and see what that gives me this weekend. The DA for where I was, was 1640’. I know if I can cut that 0-60 down more it will come in on the big end much better. Still learning this clutch/throttle control to find the balance of spin and hook with power

It looks like your spinning almost all the way through first? High MPH but time seems to not match. Mine is also stock suspension with a DS and brace. COI, tune for 93, Barton, and tires. Will give it another try this weekend to see if I can trim some time and spin off

Ok, thanks. I'll need new rear tires soon, and thought the PS4S would work, but they are still rather worthless; even in the 315/35. ESPECIALLY since they're pushing $550 each now.

Look at the temp, 36F, I leave just off idle and roll the power in as once they break loose your done, then let horse power make up the time in 3rd and 4th. Once the roads warm up it will break into the high tens at 138-140. I’m far from stock though except for the body, M6 is tough no doubt, I cheat with horsepower lol. 60-130 runs I’m spinning in forth at 120 at times, look at the draggy graph, each dip in the G force is the tires breaking loose and grabbing, it’s a wild ride.

PS4S street style 345/30 rears
Settings.
Street suspension
Track tranny
Track traction (Sport or none, spins too much)
Street condition was a tar/stone overlay
Got to WOT somewhere in second gear, little spin on the start. It hauled butt, once things were hooked up!

It's pretty accurate. My 2019 M6 at the track on a drag radial and skinnies with a horrible 60' time has gone 11.9 @ 124mph. The M6 cars lose important tenths in 60' and important thousandths/tenths in the shifts.

Car has gone 9.998 at the track on gasoline on the 315/50-17 MT Street R’s. That was back at the 825 level. Cat didn’t see the track at all last summer, engine upgrade for corn power level of 950 now. Hoping to get to the track this year with it for a repeat or deeper 9 second pass. My goal has always been 10.XX on the street with 20” tires on stock look and 5.X 60-130 times. The 60-130 goal made, I’ve yet to try a 1/4 pass, waiting to install the Bang Shift Billy digital clutch tamer to lessen the chance of drive line breakage and improve
