I was going to order new (I wanted a manual but you know the story about getting a regular Hellcat with a manual right now), but I plugged the plug on this one instead. Dealer is giving me $12k difference! The car has less than 3,000 miles on it. We trade cars on Friday!

Man that's sweet, your gonna love it. I would get mud guards, side skirts, and the front of the rear flares wrapped before driving it. The rocks are attracted to these beasts like a magnet.

It did have the ceramic paint protection done. Would you have it wrapped too?

Ceramic paint protection won't protect you from rock chips. It'll just make it easier to clean up when it gets dirty. If you want to protect from rock chips, then the PPF (Paint Protection Film) will do the trick.

BTW it's not a Redeye. Just a regular Hellcat widebody (got carried away with all the words - it's a mouthful). So I posted this in the wrong category. No biggie though. I am looking forward to the Hellcat. I've never been a GM guy so now that itch is scratched.

He was talking about the paint protective film to put on the front of the flares and other surfaces that attract rocks, an actual clear film, that is kind of thick. It will pay off in spades.

100% agree.

@Imperial One before you make a hasty decision might wanna run over those numbers really quick.

$100k usd for corvette (123k cad)
$90k usd for 2021 challenger redeye wb (111k cad)

I see $12k cad positive equity for a brand new redeye, not a 2019 hc.

Honestly when I read the title about you trading it for a red eye I thought wow he kinda got screwed on that deal. But it isn’t even a red eye. We all know the allure of this beast lol it’s very strong. The c8 is super desirable you hold the cards on this one man! You could just sell it and buy a super stock and put money in your pocket I bet!

Once he sells his car he can do whatever he wants really, he can even come back and buy this car lol. But for the love of god please don't give the c8 away for pennies on the dollar.

Only thing I can think of is tax implications but even then that's not enough to bridge the gap.
