im trying to figure out all the differences between track and sport with the trans...i know faster shifts with track, but it seems to keep the trans at higher rpms too?(or am i wrong)

anyone drive w/ the trans in track mode?

ive been using a custom setup....street TC, Sport trans, Sport suspension

annoying you have to touch the SRT logo and put it back into custom everytime you get in the car...

anyone using sport suspension on the road with stock tires? Sport=no TC right? and Track = no assistance at all right?

HT by memory and experience not quoting a book.
Track tranny shifts the quickest. .160 ms I believe. Sport is quick but not quite there. I agree it has a program that holds gears longer at partial throttle anyway, have not studied all the high RPM stuff yet. I would not use it in town as all other modes shift up quicker and let the engine idle along. I swear it runs like a high torque modded V-twin to me.

Sport suspension I like. I agree pressing the SRT button twice absolutely everytime I drive it won't work to get to Custom. So I have convinced myself all street modes are good for default, but this week I added Sport suspension. The steering and general handling is more up to my expectations.

I set the Custom mode up for straight Go-fast! Track tranny, sport traction (least traction control), sport suspension cus I like it.
Hit all Track for any twisting exercises for the girl and that is about it for my quick settings.

Last night makes twice the Performance Pages would not happen at all! Last time it happened early in its life it reset and was fine next time it started, we shall see. Who knows maybe it will shiz a radiator next time it starts!

From what I have read. TC is only off fully if you hold the TC button in for something like 6 seconds. But I also read that from memory that TC is less invasive in sport than track but I could be wrong. Ask me again in a month. Apart from my commute I'll always run without TC. I don't like electronic interference of any kind. Okay I'll live with abs but I prefer raw. I like to deal with my own mistakes and I don't want some dumbass ecu trying to think for me

Oh yes, you hold the ESP button in until it chimes while standing still and most if not all of the computer assist is gone. Not recommended. I did it, but some people believe I need help.

Don't allow it to even think of getting sideways at WOT.

I love sport transmission.... It downshifts beautifully. I've kept traction on street this far, car is amazing with keeping you straight. I'm planning on playing with full off traction this weekend and getting a good burnout video.

I've heard to leave suspension in Street for best launches. It's the softest setting so it allows better weight transfer to the rear.

You will need to feather plenty of wheel spin in Sport mode. It's fun those tires must be getting some punishment.

It does reduce traction in sport , I don't recommend taking traction control completely off unless your mad at your tires lol
Trans in track holds shifts much longer then shifts like the San Andreas fault during an earth quake
My custom set up is 700 horse
Trans in track
Traction in street
Suspension in street
I've tried every configuration possible and this one works best for my driving style
I've been in full track mode with traction completely off , all I can say is holy ssss hit hang on !

Upon initial startup If you press the SRT button twice it will go to your custom set up. Otherwise each time you start the car it automatically goes to default mode.

As already stated, double tap the SRT button as a 'hot key' to Custom drive mode. Sport TC = TC disabled but VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) still on, so if you get a bit sideways it will kick in. Track TC = Actually has a bit of TC still on, but reduces VSC some. This is ideal for road course and twisty back roads. Full Off = Reduced Torque Management on A8 and TC/VSC off. The only thing thats still on is some ABS so a long brakestand will still cook your rotors. But perfect for drifting and long burnouts.
