Looking for a new/used ZF 8HP90 transmission out of a Redeye preferably. My trans blew on the dyno last week... Any help is beyond appreciated.

Often-neglected lower-temp thermostat for the transmission. Consider upgrading the cooler to larger capacity, also.
Were you shifting when the failure happened or just steady running in 6th (direct drive, the Official Gear of the Dynamometer?)

At what speed did it let go?…its looking more and more like the stock shells have a high speed threshold, there was one cat that I know of that blew the shells on the street and the fluid caught fire on the exhaust but it’s more common on dyno’s…multiple load off lift foots seems to start the launch sequence..eventually the tuners will come up with a cut off point when testing to avoid a messy clean up
It was the first pull on the dyno right after getting installed. It was a rebuilt trans by a notable brand. Not gonna throw anyone under the bus just hoping they can help me out and get me back on the road.
