Went to pick up some groceries Saturday and after loading them in the trunk I closed it .I had remote started the car coming out of store and when I walked around to get the key fob out of my pocket and pulled out my shop keys, needless to say I had a oh sh*t moment car running and fob locked in trunk . To my surprise it had popped back open cause the fob was in the trunk ..........great feature It saved my a call to the house and have to say I had my head stuck in my arse bring me a fob

Yep. It's almost impossible to lock your fob inside your cat. If you have a weak fob battery it might happen, so change out those CR2032 batteries at least once a year. And because of the popular recommendation here to use Faraday bags, just remember that once the fob is in the Faraday sleeve it's a surefire way to defeat Dodge's best intentions and lock your fob in the trunk or cabin.

You can lock a fob in the car (say, if your wife/GF insists on leaving their purse/fob in the car while you run into a store or get a bite to eat, like my wife  … I know, BAD idea), but you have to lock the doors remotely using another fob or the buttons on the outside door handles. Smart enough to recognize you have another one nearby on the outside.
