Trunk struts?

My trunk lid is not staying up….assume the struts are bad? Anyone replace theirs? Assume its pretty straight forward?

I just put these on my 2017, the trunk lid wouldn't stay up in cold weather. They are good so far, we'll see after a year or 2.
