My 18 Ram just went through same problem. Screen delaminated from the top and spread down. Before it got too bad I ordered a new lcd monitor online. Local car audio shop swapped it out in 30 minutes. Common problem on 17 and 18 model years in all FCA. From what I’ve read LG has updated all the new replacement monitors with new part number. Sounded like they used bad adhesive in original part number. It’s a shame that FCA and UConnect doesn’t address this major problem. Only covered under warranty which is sad because this is such known widespread defect. Lots of folks get suckered into buying entire new 8.4 head units and it’s a simple 6 screw replacement of the LG monitor.

Could you give a link to where you purchased the screen. Thanks

While I was at the dealer while they got the screen info downloaded from the unit, a guy in a 2017 Scat Pack rolled in.
We had a great conversation of course, anyway, his car had the screen delamination issue as well.
Unfortunately his car is out of warranty. I told him to push Dodge to cover it (or at least partially) since this is a known issue.

I installed the slx02 screen about 6 months ago and it just started ghosting and delaminating again, it's the middle of the winter right now and 30-50 degrees out, so I don't think it was heat that caused it. Really tired of this problem because these screens are 6-800$ a piece. If anyone has a fix, let me know!!!

Where'd you buy it from? Maybe they have some sort of warranty process at only 6 months. Even the original (01) lasted a few years. I think they may have recently discontinued the (02) and you can only get new stock of (03).

Another option may be to bring it to a computer repair guy and see if he can just replace the touchscreen portion; keeping the LCD. If you have your original, it might be worth a try bringing it to someone...Although it's probably harder to find a good hardware repair tech these days.

Mine started delaminating early this year. Then started randomly rebooting itself. Especially annoying when it does it as your staging the car. Stellantis covered the part, I paid the labor ($170) in June. Mines a 2017 with 21k. Had to explain how I knew how much of an problem they were, then they were pretty reasonable.
Do you know what number you called for Stellantis? And did you just explain the situation and the likelihood of it happening again and they offered to pay for the part? Then just told you to go to a dodge dealership to have it fixed with the part pre-paid? I'm new to Dodge cars, these issues and companies.

My wife's 17' SXT just had this replaced yesterday. Her car has 40k miles and the warranty was way past its date. I called dodge and was directed to a Uconnect case manager and opened a case. They are aware of the issue and told me to take it to the dealership for an "official diagnosis". The service tech took pictures and sent it to the case manager at Uconnect. A few days later I received a call that a new radio had been ordered and a week after that (last Friday) it arrived at the dealership. It was installed yesterday and there was no out of pocket expense.
Wish I had same luck. I just went through same steps, & Corp said no. I'm 38k. They said sorry....but we will offer you free oil changes!

Any suggestions or steps that you did, to get the favorable outcome?

Are there any steps not noted, suggestions to change my outcome vs yours?

Thanks for any help!
