My car is stuck in limp mode and Im reaching out to see if you guys would know what to do in this situation.

So I originally had my vehicle tuned on the Diablosport, upper/lower pulley, e85, injectors, and catless mids. Long story short my trans blew and I had it replaced and had the whole vehicle retuned and put in a built trans.

So at this point my vehicle has the HP tuners PCM and TCM tune on it.

I recently put the stock parts back on so I can sell my vehicle and I made a mistake of giving the mechanic the Diablo PCM. I then tried resetting my vehicle using the Diablo tuner and clicked on "reset vehicle settings" button and received an error message then my car went into limp mode.

I am unable to turn the car on or off. The shifter just blinks.

I tried to have the master tech at my local Dodge flash the PCM and TCM but its not letting them write over the TCM.

Any suggestions?

I’ve tried having a master tech at Dodge reflash my car. They were able to flash the PCM but not able to connect to the TCM

are you certain there was a TCM tune put onto it?

acknowledge the error of giving the mechanic the wrong handheld but do you have the HP Tuners handheld with tines loaded to it?

can you ask about getting a new PCM and letting them start fresh?

Did they use the valve body from your blown up core for the built trans?

Let’s start with that : )

Htp has a hand held that stores tunes???

Proper steps for flashing..

You just have to stare that sucker straight in the eyes. Quick as you can, fling the trench coat open and do the helicopter real fast...

Now you can see why I chose this avatar. lol

Where are you located? If the CAN to the TCM is still active we may be reflash both your PCM and TCM using another tool outside of Witech (tool used by your dealer). The problem was caused when you tried to restore using the Diablosport device - but you know that already.

For future reference, anyone considering returning their car to stock like the OP the best thing to do would be have a tuner create a stock PCM and TCM file (using HPtuners) and disable the p1400 code in the PCM tune. This will result in the cleanest transition and you will not have a p1400 "Aftermarket Calibration" warning code visible to Witech or other common scanners.
If a dealer flashed the car back to stock it will have a p1400 code and they will not be able to clear it.
If you put your factory PCM back in the car (if you retained that) it will still show a P1400 code.
The only way around the p1400 is to have it disabled in the PCM tune.

Note: If you attempt to do this because you are trying to file a warranty claim there is a good chance that FCA will send a tech onsite with software that can detect that the calibration has been modified. If you are only doing this to return the vehicle to stock and NOT file a warranty claim the technicians at a dealership will not see the p1400 using Witech or other scanner.

This is correct. You tried to write your old TCM to the new one with the restore.
Long story short it sounds like he was trying to unmarry the diablo to sell it. but since the TCM is different it didn’t go so well.

That would be great but how do you turn the code off in a PCM with htp when that pcm is only unlocked for Diablo? I don’t understand
