See above + car towed to shop. Can't figure it out. Towed to good tranny guy. No go. Towed back to shop. Keys cloned attempted theft window broke. Towed to tech guy. Removed cloned key cannot sync mine tho. Towed to dealer. 2 months. Cannot figure it out. 2016 set hellcat Challenger. Need competent North Jersey Shop! Dammit!

Going around a 20mph corner in town and I thought I bumped the gear lever into neutral because giving it gas it just revved. Pulled over. Rev rev no gear. Blinking lights on dash for gear selection. Then locked in park and wouldn't come out. That's where this all started. Was that clear?

Pull the ecm fuse 25a under hood, reinstall see what it does

Ok, it doesn't change anything. I've taken the battery cables off also. The code says unintended park position and is locked in park. Thanks

I'm not angry. It's business. A hard diag and repair isn't as profitable as plugging into the ECU, reading a code and getting paid for part swaps. Just business but I wish someone could fix it.

Is there a sensor for the gear selector that may not be working properly? Maybe pull the center console top and look for a sensor around the gear selector lever. Also look for the sensor that senses the brake being depressed so you can put it into gear. Sounds to me like it is something simple like one of those.

Make sure the manual park release lever is all the way down. Also check to make sure the linkage on the drivers side of the transmission isn't jammed or cable bound up.

• Check that the system operates smoothly from the lever inside the vehicle.
• Check that the cable is properly routed with no sharp bends or kinks.
• Check the levers at the operator end and transmission ends for any obstructions that could prevent full range of movement.
• If necessary, disconnect the MPR cable from the lever at the transmission to isolate any conditions found.
