Just an update to let everyone know what they are dealing with when buying a Chrysler vehicle. I just got an email from Jeff at SRT basically telling me to go pound sand regarding the Laguna Leather I ordered. Not we will work with you and the dealer, not were sorry, we will take care of it, nothing but this is between you and the dealer. No help at all. I have a POC with Laguna, I have a handwritten purchase order stating Laguna. FCA does not care to take the time to make this right. How tough would it be for a happy customer. I am beyond pissed!

The same thing happened to me with the Brass Monkey wheels. Ordered and confirmed order at the dealer. I downloaded my window sticker on line and they weren't on it. I called the dealer and he said that, maybe they were on the car, and not on the window sticker. Yeah, not so much. I said screw it and just took it. But, I would be pissed if I were you. They basically said," you are one of the lucky ones who is actually getting a car." Wheels are way different than the interior. I would call, and email everyone, if I were you.

The dealer changed it without your permission. You have the POC before he changed it, see if you can get the final POC or ask SRT to show any changelogs on it. They probably changed it during the Laguna shortage.

I would have rejected the order and shown the POC to the dealer and told them to pound sand if you really wanted the leather.

Escalate it to higher than the SRT division. If you are still told that it is between you and the dealer, then take it to the local Better Business Bureau, go to the local TV station (especially if they have some sort of local consumer action line), get a lawyer, etc. I am so sorry that you are having to deal with this. Should NOT be this way.

Well IMHO, I think *legally* FCA is not responsible. The dealer changed it and they just sent what the dealer ordered. So not really their fault although morally I think they have a responsibility to side with you and get it resolved. I would think the cost should be borne by the dealer though. I think you have a strong suit if you wanted to take legal recourse against the dealer. Might want to consult an attorny and have him send one of those ominous letters to the dealer insisting they deliver what was ordered.

I'd sue the dealer in small claims for the cost difference of the seats for failing to meet their side of the contract. They have to prove you asked them to change it after you ordered it since you have proof you originally ordered it that way.

God knows what a dealer would do to you if you broke your side of the contract.

You knew this was coming. I get that, but, when you order something and wait forever to get, pay 65K-70K, you should get what you order.
I hear what you are saying but you're response is to somebody stuck with a VON. I'm sure seats are not a deal breaker. If so, I will pick up the car!

When all we have in our lives is to complain about some seats in our 70k plus muscle car, I would say we are in good shape!

Be lucky you got the car and you are not stuck like most of us.
No, it goes like this, I put $5k down August 7. I did everything right to get what I wanted and got screwed. Tell that to the people that ordered after Nov 1 that have their cars. It's like working your butt off all your life to go have a special steak dinner the one and only time. When your order comes you have a hamburger and you are supposed to be happy you have food. Fu#@ THAT! I did what I was supposed to do and they are giving me the finger, because they can. I honestly feel for the people that don't have a car, but next time, which they are doing right now, it's the M6 instead of the A8 or nothing. It becomes more of the principle. "If you don't make a stand for something, you stand for nothing"

No, I get it. When I ***** about this kind of stuff, my wife says, " those are rich people problems." Followed by, "everyone wishes they had you're problems." She's right, we can *****, moan and complain about our 70K, part time driver. Compared to what some people are having to deal with, I guess. It's kinda like having surgery, if me and you have the same procedure, its minor for you, but, major if its me.

so true man. Right on! Lol
I understand, but is now becoming way more than leather seats! One of the largest corporations in the world not giving a damn about it's customers. Maybe they should have sent a Scat Pack and said sorry, dealer's problem. I put retirement off for this

I am terribly sorry to hear this. Did they even tell you if the order was changed at the dealers? What did your window sticker say? :(

You are preaching to the choir about this because I have made huge sacrifices as well...I am sure we all have. Just saying things could be worst man. I would be pissed as well if I did not get something I specifically ordered but that would go out of the window as seen as I saw the car.

I can't tell you how many times I have called Dodge, checked the Internet, sent emails, video, and news about this car. Just to see if I will ever get this car. Maybe I can relate to your pain once I actually have the car but you are dangling a steak (or hamburger) in front of a starving man right now.

All I am saying is don't beat yourself up over something that may not be changed. Enjoy the car and fire off your letter of complaint. Just don't let it ruin the joy of receiving something that many people want pretty bad. It's a pretty Kick A*# car as is!
