Yep. I’m in Cali and had to get it done to get my registration. Pain in the but for me because I’m tuned. If you’re tuned it will wipe it out and lock it with a new os.

Judging by the way theyve screwed things up in the past with my other vehicles, Im not going for this until the car no longer passes inspection.

Had my 2017 done on Wednesday... Some members here had real issues with the fitment of the tailpipe post recall work completed. I mentioned this to my Tech and Shop Forman. The recall comes with notes/guide for installation and specifically it notes that prior to really tightening down the clamps the tech needs to verify that the pipes are slip fitted not to deep or shallow. Also, the angle of the cats needs to be verified. Failure to do these 2 things will cause the tailpipes to protrude to far out of the bumper or not far enough AND could cause the tailpipes to be not level in the valance, respectively.

Shop Forman thought that if these 2 considerations were heeded there should be no issue. He was correct. Fitment was perfect.
Part of the recall was a computer flash. What can I say, the car feels good, the same. Cannot comment on if the car is quieter/louder, need more seat time and do a cold start to verify...

Hi OldMoparGuy,
If you end up addressing this with your local Dodge dealer, please let us know via PM. We are happy to help.

I think I will do the same , I've heard terrible stories about dealerships and employee joy rides in hellcats
My experience was good, as far as that goes because I waited for it. Took about 3 hours for mine to be done but it was worth the peace of mind. There’s no reason for them to keep it overnight for such a simple process. Just make sure you call and make a reservation. That way they have time to order the parts. I called a few Dealership around me and the soonest I could get in was 2 weeks, so be prepared for that too.

This is ridiculous because the Cats and mid-pipe come off easily before the part where they run closely together without any loosening or adjusting of any of the exhaust past that point including the tips. I’ve read all these complaints about tips being misaligned but find it hard to believe any dealership would waste their time taking off or loosening the rear portion of the exhaust when it is completely unnecessary. I’ve had my mid-pipes off multiple times myself with no cat mids and race-cat mids and the slide off easy because there’s plenty of slack in the slip joints. It’s less than an hour job easily.

Smart man. Previous owner did mine right when they sold it or dealership did it before it going for sale (carfax shows it right when it went for sale again). Mine are stupid loud. I would have bet money I had an exhaust leak so threw it on the lift to check and no leak. Just rattley and sounds leaky until the car gets to full operating temp. Once fully warmed up it's much better but still not great.
