No direct experience with TPMS sensors -- other than a number of cars I own have them installed -- but I think the recommendation from those with more direct experience is to stick with Dodge sensors. Aftermarket sensors can be a problem.

I don't know where Discount Tire get theirs from but had got a set of tires mounted by them and the sensors they used connected up with my challenger in about 60 yds of travel. The tech said they hardly ever have trouble with Dodges pairing up

I have been told, and it may be a marketing ploy, that if you buy the cheep ebay sensors. The transmitters in them are usually not putting out the proper signal strength which can have two effects. They either put out a signal that is too strong and they only last a year or two, or its too week in which it has issues connecting and you loose the info at times. He said they are basically factory seconds that didn't make the quality control cut for oems.

This was from a Discount tire salesman so take it for what it's worth.

I say don’t buy those cheap Chinese POS valves. Pony up for a set of good Schrader valves and feel confident they’ll work as expected. I also have the tire shop test them before mounting to make sure all are in good working order. Sucks to find a bad one after the fact :D

Agreed on everyone's comments above about going with metal stems. Here's what I used when I bought a new set of wheels. No issues, and no special pairing process required... just start driving and they connect pretty quickly.

Just bought two from the same vendor on eBay for my FrontRunners. Drove the car for the first time today they synced up within 1 mile. No issues they work fine.

You can even buy the black nuts and caps to hide the silver TPMS stems on our dark wheels. I got them off ebay for like $4 each
