This question is directed to those who ordered either the first day the order banks opened or at least the same week.

How many days/weeks went by before you got your VIN from tge the time you got your VON.

Just trying to have a time frame so that new purchasers know what to expect.

Great question! I just got my VIN on Friday 11/28. I live in Minneapolis, so I can't drive it until Spring anyway, but am trying to line up transport to my home. I ordered day one in early Aug 15th. I CANNOT wait!! Jim

alot of people ordered the first day and dont have vin number yet. Canadian orders opened in July and some dont have VIN numbers. its all luck of the draw or a dealer that has allocation.
im one of many.

I know it's all over the the place for Canada. One person here ordered a few hours after another and got his VIN while the 1st one is still waiting to this day.

What I am trying to find out is, for example, if you don't get your VIN within a month, you didn't make the cut

I got a feeling this maybe my 1st & last time custom ordering a new car. Didn't expect the world, but putting down a good chunk of change on deposit & not having a confirmed build time... This purchase has pretty much put me up against everything I've preached in the past about car purchasing.

why so many put down big $$$ as deposit.dosnt mean your car comes before someone like me that only put $500 down.so if you put lots down the dealer is making money on your money till car comes.my dealer said $500 is all they needed to put order in.go back to your dealer ask for the money back and leave a $500 deposit.i gave them $500 plus traded my 2012 srt8 in but dealer told me to keep my car and enjoy it as they will honor the trade in price we agreed at that time even if I don't get my car in a year.just got to make sure you deal with a good dealer as I did.im a return customer and they treat me very good.some dealers are all about the money not their customers.like anything in life there is good people and not so good people.i will even wait for the 2016 model if I have to.i already have a nice ride.

Ordered first day ( allocation #1 from dealer with 2 ) Got VIN about 2-3 weeks later,

I sit in D1 status ( for 6 weeks or so now ) I am waiting on the satin black hood option. Live in Wisconsin ( pronounced "TAXCONSIN" ) roads are covered in snow, salt and calcium choride, so my good cars are put away until end of April when the rains wash them clean. Not sure when the car will come in but I will have a flat bed or use my enclosed car trailer to drop off the 392 and pick up the new TorRed Hellcat. As long as I get it by spring we are good but I would not mind getting it sooner just to have it.

I realize that the size of deposit doesn't get you to the front of the line. But 5K is what I was quoted from dealers from Brampton to Cornwall. I wish I had read your posting before I put a deposit down, but I didn't. So that's what is. What dealer did you order thru? Was the $500 deposit due to you ordering early in the game? I will definitely talk to my dealer!
I was also a returning customer, but bought off the lot, like I have always done in the past. I'm not really work up about when I receive the car. As it's winter and it would sit in the garage until spring. Where I'm choked is at the lack of communication & lack of effort by Dodge to provide answers & hard numbers on who, how many & where.
The marketing of this car was spot on. Too bad they are dropping the ball on customer relations. I'd have a better feeling if I was told that due to the date of my order I cannot receive a 2015 model. Instead they are still taking deposit/ orders & allocating von's to prospective buyers.
Waiting for a 2016 maybe an option. But if I'm informed of this in August of next year... Well...

I ordered mine from oxford dodge in London.i ask what kind of down payment I need to order and was told I only needed $500 down to show dodge it was a good order.gave them a cheque for $500 and my drivers licence to show dodge it was a customer order.i would never give a dealership big down payment before I even know if im getting car.i can go back after I receice vin# and put more down or wait till car arrives and put more down as that's what im doing.i have ordered all my new cars as dealers get their cars loaded to put on their lots as they make more money with every option and I don't want the extra options.never would I buy a car with options I don't want to just get a car.if I could I would not get air conditioning - power windows - heated seats -heated steering wheel - sun roof(sun roof on muscle cars is so wrong) just not what I want.i want bone stock (less weight) muscle car like back in the day.i hardly ever even listen to the stereo as I would rather listen to the motor over music.im just a car guy that isn't into the extra toys.when I bought my 2012 srt8 I didn't even want the stripe kit (but only $50 delete so I got them)regreted everyday since I got the car.always water spots and scratches on them.just a plastic film.(rather of had them painted on) flat black.so as for ordering -- you get want you want not what they have.i waited 2 months for my 2012 srt8 but I got what I wanted and my name is on the window sticker not some dealer name.so when you order your new car there will always be a waiting period but this hellcat is a different ball game for now.that will change after the first runs.but if something is worth having its worth waitng.there is a huge amount of buyers in the same situation so don't despair.so keep the hope and good luck.

I'm in Cincinnati Ohio. I ordered on the first day at another dealer and was 5th in line. I switched to another dealer on 9-13-14 to move up and get their first car but their dealer order went ahead of mine so I was #2. They offered the dealer ordered car and I turned it down. I did get to see it before it was delivered to the buyer. I got to sit in it and start it. They are as advertised. Worth waiting for. I ordered Sublime w/ automatic, napa black leather seats, summer tires, and U connect.

I had to wait nearly 5 months for my 2007 Superbee. All I have for my Hellcat is a von since 9-9. Although we all want to get ours, can't fight the powers that be. Redline with Laguna Sepia and A8.
