why so many put down big $$$ as deposit.dosnt mean your car comes before someone like me that only put $500 down.so if you put lots down the dealer is making money on your money till car comes.my dealer said $500 is all they needed to put order in.go back to your dealer ask for the money back and leave a $500 deposit.i gave them $500 plus traded my 2012 srt8 in but dealer told me to keep my car and enjoy it as they will honor the trade in price we agreed at that time even if I don't get my car in a year.just got to make sure you deal with a good dealer as I did.im a return customer and they treat me very good.some dealers are all about the money not their customers.like anything in life there is good people and not so good people.i will even wait for the 2016 model if I have to.i already have a nice ride.
I realize that the size of deposit doesn't get you to the front of the line. But 5K is what I was quoted from dealers from Brampton to Cornwall. I wish I had read your posting before I put a deposit down, but I didn't. So that's what is. What dealer did you order thru? Was the $500 deposit due to you ordering early in the game? I will definitely talk to my dealer!
I was also a returning customer, but bought off the lot, like I have always done in the past. I'm not really work up about when I receive the car. As it's winter and it would sit in the garage until spring. Where I'm choked is at the lack of communication & lack of effort by Dodge to provide answers & hard numbers on who, how many & where.
The marketing of this car was spot on. Too bad they are dropping the ball on customer relations. I'd have a better feeling if I was told that due to the date of my order I cannot receive a 2015 model. Instead they are still taking deposit/ orders & allocating von's to prospective buyers.
Waiting for a 2016 maybe an option. But if I'm informed of this in August of next year... Well...
