Hello,
I’m looking to purchase a 2019/2020 Redeye Widebody in the next month.
Just a couple questions the members here may provide wisdom on.
1) I’m mostly searching Cargurus and Craigslist. Any other “better” sources out there?
2) I really love the Widebody look but it’s several thousand dollars for basically extra plastic fenders…..right?
3) I can travel for a better deal, maybe another state or dealership has greater prices?
4) Any other advice? I’ve owned a 2017 Hellcat and the Redeye is a nice step up for me. More horsepower is always nice!

As far as the WB goes it's more than plastic 4x4 add-ons. You get more rubber on the road. I went from a '16 HC to my '20 WB RE and the handling is def more 'refined' feeling. Suspension is a bit different if I'm not mistaken, and obviously the wider wheels.
I ordered mine with the 3.09 gearing and man it's a hoot. Between the WB, the 90 extra horses, and the gearing, this thing feels like a different car. More refined yet more aggressive. Hard to explain. I highly recommend you look for one with the 3.09's.

I'd been doing nationwide daily searches on autotrader.com and cars.com and ebay May - early august plus 200mi radius on CL. Saw 1 or 2 deals maybe that I missed before someone else got them. Charger and SRT/Trackhawks. There's nothing out there used at a decent price IMO and hasn't been. Ordered from Hellcat Jesus and praying!

Hi Roger! The used market isn't the best place to purchase a Redeye Widebody at the moment. You'll probably pay MORE for a used Redeye Widebody than you would if you bought one new from Dodge, although you'd have to be patient for the car. Mine took just under 3 months to have delivered. The widebody has 305's instead of 275's on the back and a wider wheel base of 3.5 inches. It results in better grip, a smoother ride, and the widebody handles turns much nicer than the narrow body.

My advice to you would be to call Jake Stephens or Bob Frederick and ask them how far under MSRP you could get a new REWB for and then pay for a transport company to ship the vehicle via enclosed transport (make sure you get their certificate of insurance) to your house. That's what I did.

I agree with ordering if you have time to wait. I went from a 2017 M6 Challenger HC to a 2021 Challenger HCREWB. I love the new one over the old one.

Remember the Redeye gets you a different engine and drivetrain than your ‘17. The Widebody and it’s wider wheels and tires more than help to get that extra power to the road. When you want to modify, the sizes of tires that fit at least make sense. Because they are some of the largest available!

R.I.P. on your wallet.... I've had good experiences with Bluebonnet and it's only about a 45 min drive from Central Austin. They may work with you a bit on price but because the market is so tough right now they may not.

Another in San Antonio:

Keep your eyes out on all the major site, Facebook market place and some key dealerships. I often times would search the Range Rover, BMW, Porsche, Lambo/Ferrari, etc dealerships on the regular as well as reached out to the sales managers with my info about cars coming in on trade. I chose the more high end dealerships as I figured more clean examples would come through their doors as people changed their desires on cars and would be trading them in for something else in the same $$$ ranges.

I ultimately found my car on Carvana but I 100% would not recommend them. I got a drove hard and put up wet car that I thought was more of a weekend driver car. All the normal stuff checked out but once I started taking things apart to personalize it the truth came out real fast for which I've put some good money into it making it what I thought it was. I love it and the car is right now but Carvana did a crap job representing it.

Hey Roger,
I had a 2016 HC which I totally loved but stepped up to the WB RE in 2019. Extremely happy I did I as well! Zero regrets!
I’m offering mine for sale since I recently picked up a TRX. I’ve barely driven my Redeye since.
mine is a 2019 REWB with about 6,400 (never raced) adult driven miles. Still have original tires (only a couple burnouts). It’s TorRed, no sunroof and most options available. Happy to share more information. I’m also selling a beautiful Aluma tilt trailer so you can haul it back to TX👍🏻.

WB is on a different suspension. Not just fenders. I have a 19 REWB, coming off a 16 HC. Difference in handling is substantial IMO. I’d pay the extra and go WB. I think you’ll regret it later on if you chose otherwise. I know I would now that I’ve driven both.
