You can, it just won't be as flat as before. If you're worried about waxes that will leave a residue, just use Ice and it will protect it...but again, it will change the sheen. You can take a damp cloth and wipe it down afterwards if you don't like the gloss.

i have spray wax i have used on my rims.....it was a tip from someone on the forum...it gives it a slightly glossier look.....ill probably try that on the spoiler....
Yep, I use spray wax on my rims. Helps with brake dust. It does give them more sheen, but I like it. I never thought about using it on spoiler. I'm bought special cleaner for my back stripe and use it on spoiler since they are both matte finish.
