What’s up guys, my names Daniel recently purchased a 2016 Hellcat Charger with my lady friend. My bestfriend has a 2016 Hellcat Challenger we talked about me just getting a Hellcat Charger because I wanted something automatic. This would be my first Mopar product. I won’t lie to anyone, I’ve got all mustangs at the house, this one’s a strange one for me. However always wanted to get one, as did she. Anyways I’m on the other forums I figured I’d join to get some more knowledge from you guys, and help others versus just searching on google and not giving back. I say that to say this. This morning driving to work I was just putting to my job. I never really pay attention to the coolant temp. However I saw the gauge to above half, which hasn’t before to my knowledge. Pulled up the gauges. Temperature went up to 216 with the air on. Then dropped slowly. At idle parked with the air on it went to 203 and remained there. Wasn’t sure what was average for coolant temp? From what I gathered from a search on here I saw 203 highway cruising. 216-220 in traffic. I know I live in Florida, so it tends to be hot as hell. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Gents.

The temps are fine and not an issue.

Being a 2016, if the coolant is original, it's 6 years old. Suggest having it replaced since the sevice interval is 5 yrs/150K miles.

Also pressure test the cap.

Can we use "gents" anymore???????? :) Hey from COOL Wisconsin......... That seems pretty normal to me. I think a second fan kicks on higher up.
Haha. Might be against some sort of rules for sure. Hope I don’t get flagged this month for it.

I’ll check the cap when I walk outside to go to my next stop. To my knowledge it was changed. We are the 2nd Owners. Dealer we bought it from said fluids changed, and serviced. However it’s only got 15k miles. So maybe they just changed oil.

Yeah, would be skeptical the coolant was changed. Remember, there's engine coolant and the Intercooler & Pump Coolant. Two separate systems with a specific procedure. Bet you a beer they were never touched.

It's cheap insurance to have both done actually.

Did you think about an Extended Warranty??

I’d bet you’re probably right. I’ll double check it. Yeah, same for my 13 GT500. I’ll look at the documents they gave me. I’ll slap someone If they lied about that. It’s got a warranty on it. Unsure what all it covers.
