With used car prices high u traded in my first gen raptor for a hellcat. Everyone said don't buy a modded used hellcat, but the dealer gave me a 5 year 100k warranty so I said **** it.

Ended up with a full warranty on a car with a 9.46 on the performance tracking app. To get there, probably pulley, injectors, and tune on e85 right?

Was considering a gt350 too, but this thing is so so so sexy and pulls sooooo hard.

Anyways, so pumped to be part of the hellcat club!!!!

9.46 in the quarter mile for #4800 with driver? Remember Roadkill nights a couple years ago? The only one to get these cars to hook up was Alex Taylor because she tubbed the wheel wells and had a huge tire.

My concern on that warranty is when you need it dealer or FCA will deny claim because of the mods. Get the dealer to copy the tune in the PCM and bless it now before you need it. You might be able to strong arm the dealer into a refund on what you spent on the warranty but I really doubt they would cover any drivetrain warranty claim if there is a mod pully, injectors, pump and especially tune on the car.

I had an issue on my 19 because they could tell I swapped PCMs back and forth a couple times. Turned out to not be a big deal but if it was a major failure, engine/trans or SC I doubt it would have been covered. SM at local dealer said they are cracking down on SC spacers, 180 thermostats, LTH and CAT deletes when it comes to expensive engine claims. So if they are pushing back on those kind of mods, no way a custom-non OEM tune will fly. Just my experience.

I for one will wait for Direct Connection to keep warranty in tact. Personally pissed about the cat over temp tuning mod. BS - hopefully DC will offer a different tune with the pully upgrade and rectify that. Wish they would offer a 15" rear wheel conversion myself.

I'm more worried about you don't know what fuel it should take! Race fuel could do it. E85 could do it. O and wait they could have set it back to stock. I sold my last one with a 9.6 on the dash but I put it all 100 percent back to stock when I sold it.

That's awesome! Just keep in mind that dealerships don't authorize warranty work, the Stellantis/FCA does. Just make sure the dealer has written into the contract that they will perform the work if anything needs to be covered under warranty that the parent company might deny because of the mods.

Keep your paperwork in order. If the sale was based on the warranty promised and on the car as it was sold, and you have full documentation, you have a case to get it all back if they deny a claim. But, if you make any mod after purchase, expect that to be used as a disqualifier. I would be very concerned about this deal.

Yep, I’d call B.S. on that stealership warranty claim too. Better have some rock solid paperwork backing that one up.
I looked at a GT500 back in April that had a pulley+tune that had already developed 2 leaking axle boots with only 3k on the clock. That dealership SWORE to me that if I bought it, they'd honor any and all warranty claims. I told them right then and there that I didn't believe them. Sure, "sales" says they'll pay for any warranty work... up until that retarded build that was on the car blows the engine or trans. Typically, it's the manufacturer that pays warranty claims. When the car is obviously modified, the manufacturer won't pay for crap. Thus, it's between the buyer and the dealer as to who pays for it... and for a car like the one I was looking at to already need 3 grand in axles and labor in 3,000 miles... at some point those people would start giving me a real hard time every time I drove 90 minutes to that dealership for warranty work. If it ever blew the engine or trans, it would be a 5-figure repair job that I can guarantee you wouldn't have been done to factory spec, or, they'd have really tried hard to wiggle out of paying for it. Needless to say, I passed on the car.
