Those who get wider replica wheels in the rear for your Hellcats to fit that beefy 305-35-20 tire, what do you do with your stock wheels that you took off? Do you sell them? Keep them on the side? Curious to know what you do with them and why?

It's going to be either keep them or sell them generally.... as that's how it is for most people. It really all boils down to what YOU need or want to do. Every car is a little bit different, and in some instances, there's no need to keep them. However, with the Hellcats, it actually may be smarter to keep them.

1.) Most who go larger tend to grab a Toyo R888 or Nitto 555 or go straight DR with a set of Mickeys. These can be a pain to replace immediately and having a normal set of tires to switch to with rims is a great convenience to have.
2.) Being able to switch to a different rim in case of wheel damage is also a perk, as this allows you to still drive the vehicle.
3.) You can always do something cool like powder coat or paint on the spare wheels as well.

About the only way I'd generally ever suggest selling them would be if you are planning to keep the car on a normal street tire, just a larger size. Honestly, once you go to a larger wheel on the Hellcats you're almost certainly never going back. I know when I put a 315 on my SS Camaro, I sold the factory wheels because I was never going to use them again for any reason.

Good points you shared.
I was thinking of selling them as I have no need for them since they would take up space and since getting the wider replicas I don't think I would put the stock size wheels back on. A lot of HC owners usually tend to get wider replica wheels for the car to fit the usual 305-35-20 wide tire on. I could be wrong but I don't think they would go back to the stock wheel setup?

If I were to sell the car to say vroom or even trade it in a dealership for something else I don't think they would look at the car and notice it's not the stock wheel and say "hey by the way do you have the stock rear wheels"? This would be my only Hellcat as I don't see myself getting into another one as usually I go for something different.

I have considered keeping them at one point but for the sake of maybe using them as a spare set of track wheels and throw a 275-40-20 Mickey Thompson ET s/s on them to go to and from the track with them and put the replicas back on when I'm done racing at the track. I wasn't sure if a narrow 275-40-20 size drag radial would be enough traction to put the power of this car down even though my car is stock power.

At the same time I figure sell them and use the money for a dedicated 17" track wheel setup for the track. Just sharing my thoughts here, let me know what you think?

The only thing I would say is that once you go to a much wider tire, they can be more difficult to get replacements with any regularity. Even with insurance on my tires, it was still a week sometimes for a replacement tire on my Michelins (315 on the rear). Having a spare rim set that could work in a pinch isnt a bad idea... Just something to think about..
