Like I’ve said before and everyone else has said before. The earlier Hellcat (non-Redeye) internals handle more power better. Just facts. Glad their engineers are finally realizing what the aftermarket has known for a long time lol

Aftermarket and OEM are totally different animals. The aftermarket parts and engines can make TONS of power but at what reliability/emissions cost?

If Dodge makes a 909hp engine it has to:
1)last 150k miles
2)Need to meet emissions
3)can't destroy cats
4)meet noise and other regulations
5)has to have a level of drivability that people won't complain about (e.g. huge cam surging etc)

It's not hard to pulley a hellcat, get larger injectors and pump, and remove the cats and push 1100 hp. But that engine is not going to have the reliability as a stock motor and will not pass emissions......

And sell me your Demon :)
I was planning on keeping it, if possible. This is a really likeable car that works really good on the drag strip and it has a cool history. The only way I would sell it is if the new car dropped and I needed to return the money I took out of my retirement account to close the deal. I "think" my current budget would cover the #7 car. But it really depends on what the MSRP ends up being......
