What radar detector do you use? Any regrets
So I'm in the market for a radar detector... not quite sure what to get... I'm interested to hear what brand you guys like and how good they are.

I have the badge no detector needed lol
I have the escort 360C max. Really great plus they sell a Dash cam that attaches to it nicely so you have Both a radar and camera in one nice package all using one power source.
I bought a used Hellcat that had a K40 high end with laser diffuser. Its voice based no display. Its a unit that is installed so the range is much better but I just don't like the lack of information from no display.
I like the window unit from escort and really don't see the need for the more expensive install unit.
I cant speak to any others but there is a guy on youtube that does great videos reviewing various units.

I live in the Philadelphia area. Where unlike most of the United States.. We drive 75 80 85 on the highway as a Norm. You don’t need a detector. I just get behind that one guy going 90 hah.
V1 for decades - no regrets whatsoever. It has paid for itself many times over
I've used Escort/Passport forever but now I have a Redenso Pro M. This detector is tiny compared to others and filters out false alarms better than any I've used. American company with great customer service.

Try the waze app at least once before you spend 500 bucks on a good one i used the waze app for the first time on a trip from sw florida to philly and received an alert for every police car seen on the road i dont think it missed any. and you can use the app in states where radar is illegal.

I picked up a Undein R7 a month ago. It's pure perfection. Kills the valentine that It replaced. That and Waze and you're pretty set

I have used beltronics for years works good except it picks up the lane detection of the newer cars. So the K band alert goes off A lot

Dude that’s a cocky statement...just me but if they let you get away with that they shouldn’t be chiefs. Politicians suck as cops. Gotta pay to play and know when to fall on your own sword.Two chiefs of police in my family. I get multi able get out tickets and jail cards! I used Passport Escort 8500 in all my vehicles for YEARS and they were great, until modern cars started using K band radar for lane departure systems, automated cruise control, etc. Now they beep non stop with no way to update them.
I've started replacing them with Uniden R3 detectors that have advanced filtering, the ability to be updated via internet, and several other features that eliminate false alerts. Put one in the Camaro to test for a month and liked it enough that I bought a second one for the Hellcat. Mounted to the mirror with a Blendmount and get power from the rearview mirror with a homemade wire tap. Reasonably priced at about $300 to boot.

I've been using the V1 forever but am now looking at the R7. In my neck of the woods more and more cops are using pop RADAR and the V1 range is showing its age.I picked up a Undein R7 a month ago. It's pure perfection. Kills the valentine that It replaced. That and Waze and you're pretty set

YouTube Vortex radar. He has a lot of reviews and on a lot of forums. There was a sale on the R7 for $100 off yesterday - not sure if it's still going but its in one of his recent videos.I've been using the V1 forever but am now looking at the R7.
