730CCA at 0F is big! Maybe you're thinking of just "CA" which is 0C; 32 F. Secondly, all it needs to do is start the car until the alternator kicks in.
Once the engine is started and running the battery supplies the current to the rotor to power the electromagnets so A/C electrical power is generated when the alternator is spinning.

I believe it is the amount of power that is supplied to the rotor which is regulated to adjust the power the alternator generates.

Sure the amount of power the battery is called upon to supply to the alternator is not much not nearly as much as is required to crank the engine in order to start it.

The 730CCA battery is plenty big enough, the problem is not the 6.2L engine it's the lack of use from many owners. Even a V6 SXT will drain the battery if it just sits.

But if you want bigger the Charger Police 800CCA battery can be fitted without much trouble and a clamp change.

I replaced the OEM battery on my R/T with a Diehard Platinum AGM from Advanced Auto Parts (Part # H7-AGM) just a few months before I traded it in for my Hellcat. Comes with 850 CCA and a 3 year free replacement guarantee.

When I signed the deal for my Hellcat, one of my provisions was to swap out the OEM battery (which I guessed to be at 6 years of age and was probably nearing its end) with the almost new Diehard from my R/T.

I bought this same battery and it is great. Runs the cool down mode at the track well without fear of killing the battery.

NOCO makes one that will charge/manit them and it knows what it is
I have always used battery tenders on my challengers, set up for normal lead acid batteries an have never had a problem. Unless something has changed recently with the batteries supplied I assume they're still the same. Just don't want the OP to get incorrect information. The AGM batteries do have different charging / maintaining needs and you don't want to mix up chargers.

Right , what I meant was the charger recognizes what it's connected to

The OP seems to be looking for the proper float charger. 4A is way more than is necessary unless you actually need to charge a very low battery

A float charger only needs to hold a charge, i.e. provide more current that the battery discharges sitting in the garage, in which case the 500ma cheapo’s are more than enough. I am not an electronics expert, but it seems that the 500ma max output of a float charger should not hurt any 12v auto battery. I used the cheapo HF float charger on my GTO for 10 years (winter only). It’s like the battery never ages.

Yes, you can spend a lot on a float charger, and we worship our cars to the point where we would feed them lobster and shrimp if they would eat it, but considering the cost of a battery and the very low probability that there will be a problem, I’m sticking to the HF cheapo, at least until I see an non-emotional reason to do otherwise. I guess spending more is like insurance, you never know unless something bad happens, and then still there is no guarantee.
