I have a question?
In all seriousness.. what does everyone think will happen to this forum when you can’t order anymore Hellcats? The DDHC Threads seem to be completely dead. It seems like the ordering process is the most exciting of it all, than once everyone gets there rides it basically dies in a sense.

DD is a one year only model. There are just a kajillion fewer lol. Cant really compare the two. Enthusiasm for Hellcats wont be going anywhere soon. It’s an iconic model whereas the DD isnt really. Fewer posts will ensue but the diehards will stick around.

As time goes on, and the price comes down and all the older guys age out of their cars, the younger people will pick them up and start slapping LED strips all over them and putting 38" wheels on. The forum will then turn to constant fighting about who has the fastest car and who raced whatever WRX with a big wing, oh and does that new electric turbo they're selling on EBAY really had 150hp. 10-15 yrs after the car has been discontinued... the forum dies.

Well, once that's over there's still space here for new folks to ask about what size tires fit on stock wheels and which CAI is best.

The Durango doesn’t seem to get the love the other hellcats do. I’ve even seen some “not a real” Hellcat vibes so I doubt there will ever be much traction here for DDHCs. On the Durango forums it’s just another Durango (might as well be an SXT on there 😂). I’ll keep visiting both but the Hellcat specific site has the most relevant information and conversations for me. LS1Tech is still hanging on despite 4th gens/Fbody cars going away in 2002 and the C5 ending in 2004. I’m guessing this site will go the distance as well.

Stage 1 (Years 1-8): Cars are new and old farts over pay for the privilege to never drive their cars. Lots of arguing over options, colours, WB vs. NB etc. Many over-priced bolt-ons are sold;
Stage 2 (Years 9-15): Cars are sold off to the second/third owners who will start driving and using them, more innovation occurs. More cars are crashed;
Stage 3 (Years 16-20): Cars are now heavily devalued and decimated by the 4th and 5th owners who roach them out, the forums are flush with used parts from crashed cars. Lots of electric motor swaps happen; and
Stage 4 (Year 20+): The restorations start... the paint pen and grease pencil mark, and sticker placement arguments abound.

Seen it with the Turbo Buick, LS Camaros, Firebirds, Corvettes, Terminator/SVT Mustangs, and so on. History repeats itself.

As a Pontiac G8 owner, I can 1000% support this concept. Just wait, you haven't seen anything yet. FPFQ is real.
