I have no clue. Should it? Is it good or bad for the car? I was thinking of getting the ceramic coating. Would that devalue. Sorry im new to the car world especially Demons and Hellcats.
Merely driving it will devalue it. There are two types of Demons in the world: The undriven collector cars and the ones that get used. The ones that get driven (like this car) are not going to be worth a premium. If you care about the value, the questions to ask are things like, "Should it be stored in a secure climate controlled storage or is in the garage fine?"
The people who pay big $$$ for Demons want them with under 3,000mi, complete Demon crate (with all parts, and some want the crate completely unmolested). Further, the Demons that bring absolute top dollar are the ones who removed the factory DR's and put an aftermarket set on. Then, they sell it with the factory tires, crate, low mileage, unmodified. Those will go for anywhere between $150-$250k.
But, a Demon without the crate and relatively high miles for the model... your guess is as good as mine, but I'd estimate it closer to $100,000. If it is modified in any way, $75,000.
If you're just looking for a car to enjoy and drive, get a Redeye and go nuts. As much as I love the Demon, I'm a collector at heart and it pains me to see people evaporating the value on what will be a premium collector car in 10 years by driving them.
PS: I listed the range of a collector grade Demon from 150k-250k. Most of these are under 1,000mi with an average price of $170,000. The most expensive one I've seen sell was at a Mecum auction last year for $255,000. It had 3mi on the odometer and still had the factory plastic coverings on the wheels and interior.
