Having wheel hop problem. Discounting price, What is the best solution for wheel hop for a novice to install for my Challenger Redeye . AAD Wheel Hop Eliminator or BMR cradle lock with lower control arms or something else? I know neither choice is not an easy install , but was is the least painfull.

I installed the AAD WHE. It works. Took about 3 hours

Tires will do the most to cure wheel hop, 17"s with a 50 series side wall will help a bunch. The BMR cradle lock outs will also help considerably, but there will be an increase in NVH - rear end noise will be amplified, road noise/roughness will be amplified.

Wheel hop is a result of the tires having traction then not having traction in a rapid cycle. I would not reccommend the cradle lock outs on a daily driver type of car. I have them on mine, but I race at the track weekly so the trade off was worth it. As far as the arms go, I have no experience with them, the cradle lock outs cured any wheel hop issues I experienced at the track. My experience is that if the cradle is allowed to move around there is only so much control arms can do.

Same car here. Zero wheel hop because the stock tires suck. It just lights em up. Bad for racing but no hop. I've actually been putting off getting better tires because with that will come the hop I'm sure.

That is 100% correct. The only way tires effect wheel hop is as you describe. If they are too slippery no hop.

A combo of Whiteline cradle bushings and the AAD set of arms (thus changing all the control arm bushings also) will fix 90% of wheel hop. That recommendation makes the car ride BETTER and DOES NOT increase NVH. I have done it to two Hellcats now. Don’t believe me and my Redeye is available for demo rides to prove my point.

You need to INCREASE or DECREASE the traction substantially. Wheel hop should go away. Different tires, different surface or surface prep, or simply raise or lower tire pressure substantially should do it. But if you find yourself constantly in the situation where it occurs and are unable to change any of the above, then suspension changes might help. I have never done any of that stuff to my suspension. But I drag race and I figure out how to dead hook by using the proper tires etc. Maybe you are talking about on the street where I have no recent experience.

Would lower trailing arms by themselves help or be a waste of money. I already have the differential brace.
That would be a step in the right direction. You may also want to check out the BMR rear cradle bushing lock out kits.

BMR Cradle Bushing Lockout Kit and Spohn lower rear trailing arms helped alot as did the DIRS Brace and 11in. wheels with 315 Nitto NT05 R’s. It still does happen from time to time though. I’ll probably go with a few AAD parts over the winter.
