Wheel well modification for 315/50’s

For those of you brave enough to take a sledge hammer to your inner wheel wells to fit 315/50r17’s, did you disconnect the battery as to not trigger the air bags?

Yep, took me 5 minutes hitting them at an angle with a 2lb mallet .

I had to flatten that upper ridge on mine to fit '325' Hoosiers. I haven't seen any signs of rubbing ..
