Wheel well modification for 315/50’s
For those of you brave enough to take a sledge hammer to your inner wheel wells to fit 315/50r17’s, did you disconnect the battery as to not trigger the air bags?

the ribs mash in pretty easily?If the car is off, they are off. I hammered mine for my 315/35x20 and never heard a thing.
I was going to use my 8lb 😅Yep, took me 5 minutes hitting them at an angle with a 2lb mallet .

Think I walloped more than I had to. Never give me a hammer and earplugs
I had the 325/45/18 on bravado tributes before, they only rubbed the bottom ribI had to flatten that upper ridge on mine to fit '325' Hoosiers. I haven't seen any signs of rubbing ..

What are you guys doing about the other side of the wheel well shroud with the 3 vents cut out by the rear bumper?
