Wheel well modification for 315/50’s

For those of you brave enough to take a sledge hammer to your inner wheel wells to fit 315/50r17’s, did you disconnect the battery as to not trigger the air bags?

If the car is off, they are off. I hammered mine for my 315/35x20 and never heard a thing.

I used a 4#, but I'm not awoke.....yet!
