These are the photos that sell houses. This one is from Realtor.com, but like Zillow it's all too rare when either site includes photos of the garage. And bonus points for these photos for featuring the ponies in this stable!

It's nice that home sellers throw in a house when you buy a garage but I really want to see more views of the space where I'll be spending most of my waking hours!

They're all leaps behind the curve. Every single house I looked at in the last 5 months didn't have any details about the garage, as if it was some optional area that isn't important. I had to walk through or request photos of every single location because they didn't have ANY pics of the garage. When I asked they would always wonder why I was curious, like I didn't plan to throw $10k in tools and a $60k car in there...

In these times of soaring auto theft probably not a good idea to show your cars in a real estate listing.
The bad guys are everywhere, best to take pics with no cars in the garage.
I feel ya. It's good to be careful. But to get to 'em you need to get through the digital locks, the alarm system on the building, the individual alarm systems on the cars....and the personalized tour of my extensive firearms collection, complete with free demonstrations...:devilish:

When I sold my last house my realtor loved my garage especially since I was including all the flooring, lighting and cabinets with the sale. As such it was a feature photo in the listing. 3 weeks, zero bites. She changed to a more standard advertisement and the house sold in 2 weeks over asking with multiple offers.

Moral of story. Don't overthink your market. For every car guy it would bring in 1000 others just move on without looking.

Not to sound like an idiot, but regardless of the nice cars in a garage, don't you think a house listed for $500k would come from someone rather wealthy to begin with? Thus seeing the cars wouldn't be relevant one could safely assume that they had something expensive in their rather pricey house? Never considered the theft aspect so good point, but I feel like a their wouldn't give a F about the cars more the house/neighborhood and delusion of what COULD be inside for the taking.

Did I miss what this thread has to do with Hellcats???????????
I made the connection with recent topic discussions on stolen Hellcats and the importance of securing our vehicles in garages with my house searches on Zillow and Realtor and this rare listing highlighting a really nice garage space. Moderators, please move this thread to Off Topic.

I imagine he wasn’t referring to potential homebuyers but instead thief’s looking through a bunch of Zillow listings to find their next victim.

Kind of a stretch but I get what he was saying.

No no I understand that, what I'm saying is, thieves can tell by just looking at the house if it's worth breaking into, not by only peaking the garage lol
