I'm embarrassed to say I've had this car almost a year and just noticed today. Guess I've never really looked at the roof from the front. Thanks again Carvana for this stuff. It was said the stripe was damaged so they replaced it....

Now I'm even more motivated to try and figure out how to install my own stripes (got a quote of $2k which feels way to much). Debating on that or maybe going with a hood wrap for a bit (carbon or flat black). Just concerned that if I remove the stripes you'll see ghost lines from paint fade. Cars only got 6k miles on it and paint is near perfect so most likely always garaged so maybe it won't be faded. Thoughts?

I've given up on the idea of having a "perfect" car.

I knew my car had a "minor" accident on the Carfax before I bought it.

I noticed that the replacement carbon fiber stripes on the hood aren't perfect
but you don't really notice it on a casual look.

That said, yes I'd fix that. No way I'd spend anywhere close to 2K though.
I would think under $500 at a good shop.

That's not an emergency to fix, take your time until you get a fair price.

I would take it off and repair it myself.
Why can't you just buy some 3m pinstripe of the same material? Lay down a masking tape line against the main stripe and then it will come out perfectly straight.

Yeah, I'll either just fix that piece or redo the whole thing. I've been debating on carbon stripes or fixing my matte ones (rear bumper ones are scuffed).

Do you think maybe they were straight when you got it so you didn't notice it right away? Have you taken it thru the carwash!
Always hand wash my cars. I've just been oblivious. Now I can't unsee it.

Incorrect. The Michael J. Fox Wrap Shop.
I'm surprised someone didn't tear into you for this one......
I am not one of those ultra sensitive people that is victimized by a persons poor choice of words or needs to be in the spot light as a victim. But I would maybe use your head next time before posting that 'joke'....

Funny how a joke like this is funny in your teenage years and twenties, maybe even into your thirties for some. But once life starts rolling and your parents and even close friends end up with these terrible diseases, they lose humor quickly. Watching a friend or family member fight through Parkinson's, Lou Gehrig's, or MS is absolutely horrible, just be thankful it's not you or the ones that you love. No really, give thanks to your luck, it can change tomorrow.

I know its not funny, and I'd be upset if it was my car but I did chuckle when I scrolled down and saw that picture!

That has to be a repair that was done prior with junk material. Looks like the sun destroyed it.
Likely was not like that when you got the car.
